rdailybread Posted March 1 #1 Share Posted March 1 We are cruising on Princess out of San Francisco. We will be driving and leaving our car. Where is a good lot to park? Thank you in advance!
jmelnick Posted March 1 #2 Share Posted March 1 This is what the port recommends: https://sfport.com/maritime/cruise#tab-12453-pane-2 It's as good as anything else in the area. There really isn't anything close. We've found the best thing to do is to drop off luggage and other passengers and then go park the car and walk back. It's maybe a 5 - 10 minute walk. Just do the reverse when you get back.

Thank you in advance! ABM Parking Services 80 Francisco Street, San Francisco, CA 94133 Office: (415) 398-4162 | Cell: (415) 417-9412 Call them ahead of time and tell them you're cruising out on Princess and give them the info. You can prepay and print out your authorization, which will save you a lot over the price if you just drive in. An easy walk to the pier, especially if you drop off your luggage with passenger at the pier, then park and walk the short distance back.
Rare karatemom2 Posted March 1 #5 Share Posted March 1 3 minutes ago, rdailybread said: Thank you for the response. Have you parked there? Do you know how far in advance should we book our parking? We have parked in this lot at 80 Francisco for our cruises out of San Francisco several times and it has been fine for us. Can be a bit hard to navigate with a larger vehicle but we managed to make it work with our Suburban. I agree with the advice to drop your bags first - my DH generally drops me off at the port, along with any other family traveling and we get the bags checked in while he parks and then walks over to meet us. As far as reservations, I would suggest as early as possible if you want to guarantee a spot. We have never had a problem leaving our car there - it seems pretty secure and is reasonably priced and convenient.

I've tried calling the office phone several times and after a couple of rings it goes to a busy signal. And Verizon tells me the cell number has been disconnected. Another other options available that you are aware of? Thanks.

And Verizon tells me the cell number has been disconnected. Another other options available that you are aware of? Thanks. There is a thread on the Crown Princess page on facebook about this. Apparently effective June 1, ABM no longer owns that garage. It is now owned by Metropolis. Metropolis offers long-term cruise parking at 80 Francisco Street. Contact rjeangilles@metropolis.io and anguyen@metropolis.io or call 415.398.4162 with questions about your reservation. Passengers should confirm their reservation with the parking company before their trip. The Port provides this information as a courtesy and does not manage the lot. The phone number is not a working number however. I had reservations at this garage for our end of July cruise, made them back in April. I have emailed a generic email address I found for the company before finding these more personalized ones and did get a response, but was told my situation was going to have to be escalated to the next level. This was yesterday and I haven't heard back from anyone else. I did all this after contacting ABM (also not easy to find contact info on) and they stated the new company will honor previously made reservations, but I want verification from them directly before driving to San Francisco. So far, no one on the Crown Princess Facebook group has heard back from Metropolis either, to my knowledge. 1

I was directed to an app, but haven't take the time to do that yet. 1

calbred Posted June 18 #19 Share Posted June 18 I was directed spot hero where I booked parking at 1426 Sansome St -Levi Plaza Garage. It was cheaper and closer to the port (for Carnival at least), booked parking June 1 for our cruise on the Miracle in Sept. 2

I'm going around in circles on their website, and I haven't found a good answer to that yet. I emailed and got the answer to this and some other things. $28.35 daily before the 20% discount. Funny thing is that I think Andy is the guy I've dealt with before when two different companies owned this garage. He seems to be part of the package. I didn't pay that much attention to the price as "what it is is what it is" That's our best option regardless. But I believe you have the correct numbers.

They were recently bought by another company and you can no longer reserve ahead of time. That concerned me since I didn’t want to arrive with no guarantee of a parking space. I have been communicating with one of their very responsive team who assured me they know ahead of time how many will be cruising. Well,Mim the meantime I found out about SpotHero and the Levi Plaza Garage only 6 minutes walking distance to the terminal. And it’s $140+ tax for a week. Even less than 80 Francisco where we always parked when it was run by ABM. And closer!

(anguyen) He’s been sending me emails back and forth reassuring me we would have a space, but that I can’t reserve ahead of time now like we used to. He said they have enough spaces allotted with each cruises. And he sent me all the instructions. That said, I found out about SpotHero and parking at Levi Plaza Garage 6 minutes walking distance to terminal. $140 + tax for 7 days and fully able to cancel. I went ahead of reserved a space for peace of mind. I’m sure 80 Francisco would have been fine, but I need to know we have a space waiting like when we parked there before. I just reserved a space there for October after someone on a FB Princess cruise group told us about it. I had planned on booking 80 Francisco St. like we always do. But after changing hands and no longer able to reserve ahead of time, I was a bit concerned we wouldn’t have a place. Even though their guy, Andy Nguyen was very good about communicating with me, I feel SpotHero’s Levi Plaza Garage will be a better choice. Like you said, cheaper and closer to port. And I was able to reserve ahead of time!
