Alternative to Hyatt Place Convention Center in FLL?

This is our usual hotel for pre-cruise. But it is SOOOO expensive for late April. Renaissance is just as bad. Any recommendations for a different hotel that is quite near the port and near food sources?

Try the Hyatt House or Hyatt Place (across from each other) in Dania Beach.  Have airport (free shuttle and one to pier (cost $15 pp).  Right next to lots of dining and shopping options.

Did you check the Holiday Inn Express that's in the same area as Hyatt Place Convention Center and the Renaissance?

I’d try booking.com to come up with an idea for prices over your dates.  If you find a halfway decent fare, check reviews.  

The rates have skyrocketed since the restart.  
 

Check hotels near the airport, Dania beach and 17th street.
