VV Provided Clothes Steamer

I wanted to ask if the clothes steamer that Virgin provides in the stateroom is decent quality or not. Thank you.

I don't recall there being a steamer in my stateroom, nor do I recall if there was one available for guest use.

There are no steamers in the rooms.  They are a fire hazard, which is why you can't bring your own on board.  They have full laundry and pressing service available.

You can request a steamer from your cabin host, I don't recall the brand but it worked fine.

This--you host will bring you an approved steamer on request.

We bring a Wrinkle Relaxer onboard now. Works fantastic.  Spray the clothes, hang them up, hit them again if you have some stubborn wrinkles.

Thanks for the replies and advice. The ship provides them on-request and has added that note to our stateroom.

We were able to borrow a steamer a couple of weeks ago on Valiant Lady.  It wasn't in the best shape. Many of the nozzles were clogged with calcium deposits. We were able to use a pin to clear enough of them to make it work.  We just used the Virgin app to make the request and our cabin steward dropped it off less than 10 minutes later.

This is good to know...and to think all this time I was paying an employee to hang my dinner pants in the engine room!

I requested a steamer on our Nov 2023 voyage - it was brought to our cabin & had a note on it that it was available to us for 2 hours. Seems fair as they wouldn't have enough for people to keep them in their cabins for the entire cruise. I was easily able to steam the wrinkles from the items that needed refreshing.

I just hang clothes via a magnetic hook to hold the hanger in the bathroom.  Set shower to high.  Close bathroom door. Set timer for 10 minutes. Steam activated.

That's what I have done in the past and then a quick hit with wrinkle release spray and things are good.
