LouMK Posted March 25 #1 Share Posted March 25 Anyone have experience using Celebrity for the transfers from Fort Lauderdale to the ship. We have been on Celebrity many times but never used their transfer. Do you have to wait till the bus fills up to leave or are they smaller vans? We don't want to land at 10:39 AM and wait an hour or more to get to the ship. We are elite status so we have early boarding.

You will definitely have to wait for the bus to fill up before you leave for the port.
capriccio Posted March 31 #3 Share Posted March 31 Given that you can see Port Everglades from the airport (they are separated by a highway), it would be more efficient to take Uber/Lyft or even a cab. I presume the Celebrity shuttle charges per person not by vehicle so Uber/Lyft or a taxi would be cheaper too.
nhraformula00 Posted March 31 #4 Share Posted March 31 No need to shuttle, the port is less than 3 miles. 10 min ride in a cab, uber ,or lift. Your choice.
wildcats40 Posted April 4 #5 Share Posted April 4 We used the Celebrity shuttle from the cruise port to FLL which is a little different situation since lots of people are getting off at one time. We waited about 15-20 minutes for the bus to fill up. Most of that time was the driver organizing the luggage. Like others have said, an Uber or taxi would be convenient as long as there are plenty available.
hrhdhd Posted April 4 #6 Share Posted April 4 Sort of off topic, but Elites no longer have priority boarding, only Suites and Zenith do. On topic, I agree with the above: just take a cab or an Uber.
