Beyond Air Conditioning

Have never sailed Edge class, was wondering if the AC in public areas was strong? I love that celebrity public venues aren’t ice boxes , never needed a sweater for dinner on any other celebrity ship and I normally freeze when I go out for dinner in Florida ! Ladies , can you wear a dress quite comfortably  for dinner on Beyond ?

My Wife and I both think it is too warm on the ship.  Obviously, we are in the minority.

The Casino Bar on Equinox is the only place I have ever found on Celebrity with superior AC.

The Ascent cafe baccio on recent cruises was very cold. Needed jacket every morning especially in area nearest aft. I am usually ok. It also varies by cruise and ship. Could be any ship.

We have done all the Edge class ships and they are cold, except for Ascent.  We just sailed her and we all noticed how much warmer it was.  I suggest you take a sweater! We sail with 6 people and we all had felt the same.

Almost always too cold for me.  As this thread has hopefully described to you - what is just right for one us too warm for another and too cold for a third.

Thus have a light wrap you can put on or head to the pool.

On Beyond now. Almost everywhere is too hot for us. Other than creaking and banging in our sky suite, it's pretty much our only complaint. HOT today in Antigua, even hotter yesterday in Barbados. I want to be cool while eating dinner after being outside most of the day.

Agreed…what do some of these folks keep their AC set on? I would be fine with 70 or so..

I know, I know you can’t please everyone.

I’m waiting to ask this question once Edge sails in Alaska so I can pack appropriately.  My gut says lighter cotton sweaters would work regardless but I do like to get a bit dressed up and my options will be dramatically different depending on indoor dining temp.

I chill easily. On the Beyond, I wore a wrap or light sweater or jacket in the Theatre each evening and froze anyway - the place was kept super-cold. Dinner afterwards in a MDR. Big improvement in comfort after leaving the Theatre but would take awhile to warm up after the big chill. Sometimes I eventually took off the extra layer and sometime just left it on - was fine either way. During the day, felt comfortable wearing short sleeves and capris in the ship's public venues. If I had worn skimpier attire, might have found some areas a tad chilly (but not anywhere as cold as the Theatre).
