StrikeEagle Posted April 22 #1 Share Posted April 22 For those who have been to Money Bar recently, within the last year, is the entrance and usage of umbrellas and chairs free as long as you eat and drink there? Thanks

Thanks Those are two very different venues. PB is pushing all-inclusive, but on slow port days may offer a pay as you go option. It is very large, with great facilities, a HUGE pool, water toys and a sandy beach. Food and drinks there are average to above average for a beach club (love their taco truck!). MB is much smaller, no admission fee, strictly pay as you go, no sandy beach, no pool and no water toys. Good snorkeling from the shore, rental gear if you need it, and the food/drinks quality is about even with PB. Which to choose sort of depends upon what you are looking for. If you can find an old review from Mitsugirly, she did both locations in one day (morning at MD, afternoon at PB). Have a great cruise!
TTEllis Posted April 24 #5 Share Posted April 24 Thanks!! The taco truck did it. Looks like I'll be spending my day at PB. Appreciate you!! Well, that was easy. Thank you.
rnr4thatsme Posted May 6 #6 Share Posted May 6 With the snorkelling from shore at Money Bar, do you walk into deep water or is it a shallow entrance that gets gradually deeper? Do you need to be deep to see fish?
JohninDC Posted May 9 #7 Share Posted May 9 Unless it has changed there were steps to get into the water. You do not need to go deep to see fish in the area.
grantbob Posted May 15 #8 Share Posted May 15 The steps can be a little slick and sometimes the waves are crashing against them, so you just have to be a little careful, and you need to swim away from them fairly quickly so you dont get pushed back into them. It's about 4 ft deep or so right and out from them shore a little its probably 15-20 ft deep. I think you need to be at least a moderately decent swimmer to do it.
