That is a change from what I observed and what bar staff told me, although my Mardi Gras cruises were a while back. What I observed, and what bar staff confirmed, was a small number of barstools on the smoking side of the bar were for smoking only.

Thank you! I guess I was hoping for some "specialty" drinks, but the standards are fine. Another follow up question. I do not smoke and will be trying the non-smoking casino on the Vista next year. Has anyone experienced better wait service in there or is it about the same as the main casino? I am hoping that since the non-smoking room is smaller, it might be easier to get the waitstaff's attention........... Am I just dreaming??😁 Edited July 9 by RockinRobin addition

bluesman0711 Posted July 9 #30 Share Posted July 9 I won’t miss them, the majority of people just stood there and smoked.

They sure aren't spaced out any more than before the remodel. Vista class replaced the bar with 6 machines. Next to LED cone and you can look down upon it. It was impossible for servers and guests to get to the bar to order drinks.

The layout of the casino was completely changed when the bar was removed, but it looks like like they were able to add closer to 50 slot machines in the space that the bar occupied. It's also easier to walk through the casino then it used to be. Edited July 24 by Old Fart Cruisers

I think you mean - it's against the rules to smoke at the casino bar on the MG. ...because based on my cruise on MG in February, people absolutely CAN smoke at the casino bar on the MG, because I repeatedly saw folks doing it.
