Labadee Status - Celebrity has cancelled all port calls until at least April 2025. Any emails from RC this far out?

Only in internal volume, not physical size.

yeah -- just looked as I was sure i saw its gross tonnage was 10% more....and it is.

But its only 6meters longer!  (about 20Ft) Insignificant in the scheme of things.

As they say...."size matters".   😄

Icon is approx 10% bigger than Oasis.

Icon has a draft of 30ft as does Wonder. Icon has a beam of 159 feet and is 1196ft long. Wonder has a beam of 155 ft. And is 1188ft long.

Seems to me the two ships should be able to fit into the same ports.

What are you doing with your stop over in NYC?

Someone from the cruise showed up on Fox & Friends this morning talking to Janice Dean (Fox News weather person)

We were here on an overnight.  We started out on (yet another) totally lame ship tour...bailed after the bad organization was obvious...and decided to simply walk into town to tour Time Square.  (We were docked in Manhattan).  Great time...and my first visit to the city.

Then today, we simply walked a very long way along the waterfront along the Hudson river.  Really impressed at how they have brought that area along...apparently started in 2005.  Nice walk, as a "deer in the headlights" staring at all the impressive and interesting sky scrapers.  Some very talented builders.  🙂

The walkway along the Hudson is really nice. Sometimes I bike it. My brother lives on the upper west side. Fortunately, he has bikes. The lower east side around South Street Seaport is nice also. Time Square can be fun when it is not overly packed with people.

it is very rare to see a royal caribbean ship docked in manhattan. all of royal ships docked across the river in New Jersey. Manhattan does make it easy with ship tours

We were amazed at the amount of bikes on the very nicely laid out bike path along the river.  The city sure did that right!  🙂   So much benefit to not just health and cost... but also to help keep more cars off the road.

Really wish we had not booked the one we had...lost our money on it (and not cheap), but just could not stick with it for the lack of organization (which was a total joke).  We walked away from it.

Very happy indeed that we were docked in town.  It was soooo nice and easy to just walk anywhere we wanted for two days  Lovely weather added in made it special.  🙂
