Email to change cruise sailing

Recommended Posts

Just curious. Has anyone ever received an email to ask if you were flexible in your travel plans to change your cruise date. This is  5 days before sailing. 100% refund or an upgrade to a better cabin on a future cruise no penalty. Never heard of this and I’ve been on over 40 cruises in the past 15 years. Just wondering

Sounds like they have oversold and yes someone posted a similar email & offer a few weeks ago.  I believe theirs was an Alaska cruise.  It isn’t common but it does happen.

Doesn’t sound like much incentive unless it’s a significant category update…like from a veranda to a royal suite. 🙂

agreed.  it should be a significant incentive this close to sailing.  That said, they may find some takers - people who were going to have to cancel anyway.

The ones I have seen are a move to a similar sailing and the cost of your original cruise given as refundable onboard credit on the new booking.  Therefore, being a great incentive to move!

Yes.  We changed our Bermuda cruise out of Cape Liberty from June 2nd to July 14th.  They upgraded us from a balcony to a prime balcony, refunded our money and the new booking is free.

Okay so that would incentivize me. 🙂

Me too…I just double checked all my zillion celebrity emails (sorry marketing, I ignore most of them.) Nothing for me with that deal.

Now I too will be checking all my zillion emails....they would be surprised how flexible we can be with the right incentives! 😂

We received an email today to change our Alaska cruise. I filled out the survey to express interest. How long before you heard if you were chosen?

It should say on the email when they will

notify you by.  For us, it was 3 days before sailing.
