  1. Really appreciate the very valuable information in these posts. We missed a trip to the Falls when we were in BA for a prior cruise and now want to return and include the Falls but the planning seemed a bit overwhelming. Thanks to the these posts I feel like and now I have some ideas that would make it a feasible for people who's age begins with a 7!
  2. And therein lies the rub-it's good for us shareholders but bad for us as passengers.🙂
  3. This has been my experience as well but they will let you request anchovies on the Caesar salad so that makes me happy.
  4. So glad you got excellent care and are feeling better. On my very first Celebrity cruise I developed an antibiotic allergy and visited the medical facility onboard. I still remember how well (and how quickly!) they took care of me...I had to return for a follow up visit and they made it all so easy. I second Susie's advice to seek care at the medical facility if an issue arises.
  5. Yes, that's exactly what I did as well...thanks!
  6. Are you able to name the website or does that go against the rules? From a fellow Wildcat (many, many decades ago).
  7. Much to my dismay my DH enjoys his cigars too and has always found a place to smoke them onboard.
  8. I have an older iphone so I went with the VENA iPhone XR Wallet Case. A friend has this one and likes it.
  9. Your photos are amazing, thank you for sharing.
  10. Loved the Thursday Murder Club books. I also enjoyed the SJ Bennett books (Windsor Knot etc.) but I'm not sure how she is regarded in your part of the world as she fictionalizes the Queen.
  11. I am also Team No Lanyard and I think one of those phone covers to hold card will help me when I wear pocketless pants! At this point DH is very accustomed to carrying my lipstick but I like to keep my card with me incase we wander in different directions.
  12. I hope that didn't come across wrong. All the information that you provide is important but can seem overwhelming the first time you encounter it...that is why I recommend a phone call. You and your staff are very knowledgeable and can help a traveler choose the appropriate coverage for their trip.
  13. Exactly, they are very knowledgeable and have helped me choose the correct insurance for different situations.
  14. Totally get it, daughter would not have survived USNA without her smuggled miniature rice cooker.
  15. We were on a TA once with many, many quilters who ALL brought their featherweight machines. They were given a conference room and allowed to keep their machines set up for the entire cruise. They even arranged a day when other passengers could tour the room to see their projects.
  16. We were at land resort in the DR when this one came up so I plugged in ipad to watch. Of course electricity flickered and I lost connection, got it back and watched the rest of the presentation unplugged. Is there extra credit for doing this on vacation? 🤣🤣
  17. Our first cruise was in '96 to Bermuda on the Meridian, a beautiful old ship which met a sad fate. I vaguely remember bouillon being available in a huge silver serving carafe on sea days. Cruising was certainly more elegant in those days but we don't miss dragging tux and evening gowns.
  18. Don't be put off by their website, which contains a lot of information. If you call and speak with one of them they will help you get the coverage you want/need.
  19. And if you are shorter than those specs - the 20lb. robe will drag on the ground.😂
  20. It has never seemed too crowded. The main difference, to me, is that you are seated at a table so you don't have to wander around hoping to find a space to eat. Also, as a short person I don't like being lost in a sea of elbows trying to see what is on offer at the buffet.
  21. If your travels around any city take you by an Apple store you will have access to free WIFI.
  22. Thank you for taking the time to help us understand the options and even providing links, it is much appreciated.
  23. Thank you for this suggestion and all the others- our flight is at 12 and we were going to Uber to Schiphol but after reading this thread I'm thinking that taking the train from Rotterdam would be best to avoid being stuck in traffic.
