LatinaInTexas Posted June 15 #804 Share Posted June 15 What a beautiful day! I really need an itinerary that you can just leisurely get off the ship and walk, explore, eat, relax, have a drink, walk, eat again lol. I'm getting burned out on the whole get up early cattle call ship excursions. Our August cruise has 2 getting into port at 7 am with most excursions starting at 7:30 ughhhh. Question, so when you go to cafes and such the menus will be in Euros? Do you just use your phone to figure out the bill in dollars or just pay knowing it's a good price lol. And what about tipping? What is standard compared to the average 20% over here.

I think back in October, the last time I was in Europe, the exchange was 1.1 dollar to 1 euro. I'm sure it's changed since then, though. 20% for tips is fine. 3

I always pay in Euros, the exchange rate has been so close lately it’s just easier that way. For instance, that meal was 28 euros and change - we immediately got a bank notification that the card was charged $30. It’s incredibly close right now. Tips are very different here imho. They aren’t generally expected at all, so anything you give is usually much appreciated 13

More like 10% There may be a service charge already on the bill.

Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 15 Author #821 Share Posted June 15 B wanted to find a quiet place to read, so I walked her up to Spinnaker. Great view from this forward corner four top. While there, noticed a lot of racing sailboats coming by. Must be a regatta soon. This boat won a major race in Venice last year and is apparently pretty big time.
