Don’t all the suite cabins have real balconies , so the  Retreat be an incentive to book , if you want that a real balcony  🤔

Yes, all suites have real balconies.

I would rather sail more times in a lower category standard veranda or C1 on S class ships than sail in a suit on the Edge Class just for a real balcony.

"I am not criticizing your view, as it is as valid as anyone's.  But I don't think that suddenly because of this change that hordes of Pinnacles are going to start swarming Celebrity ships in droves simply to take advantage of the drink package, or wifi, or the lunch, or any other benefit you fear is now in jeopardy."

My Guts Hurt! too funny! 😂❤️👍

The discounts along the way.

 example Elite Plus

15% off specialty dining

15% off spa treatments

35% off of WiFi package

20% off drink package and 15% off of upgrading the drink package

I book all inclusive so drink package discounts and WiFi are a moot point. Don't do Spa treatments and you can usually get a larger discount on board for specialty dining if they are trying to fill the rooms not to mention all of the discounts they offer you after you book. I live in Florida so even a free 7 day Caribbean cruise doesn't compel me to be loyal and chase points. I don't even like the Edge Class ships with the roll down window balconies so the Retreat isn't an incentive.

For those of us who don't require AI the savings are very real - $100's per cruise.

Whether the discounts on Specialty Dining/Spas are good will vary by cruise. Everyone is free to decide what offer is best for them.

We cruise by itinerary and date, then choose a ship and at that point the Loyalty Offers do make a difference. We, and others, dropped Celebrity when it introduced compulsory AI now we are back.

Choice is great.

They are all doing AI now with Princess being the last to follow. Some times they come in at a lower price if they are offering a better AI than Celebrity. We switched to Celebrity when they started that 123 Go promotion. That was the best deal at the time.

Princess has the simplest AI product £50 ( approx $70) per person per day Wi-Fi, drinks and tips.
As long as the AI is an option we have no issues with it.
However on Celebrity for us it is just an extra cost with no value.
We don’t drink alcohol, have no need of unlimited Wi-Fi   and all our coffees/teas/chocolate/water/sodas/ fruit smoothies with breakfast are all free with our Elite+ status.

We book Cruise only and generally use our OBC to pay the Auto Grats with any left over credit invested in the Casino.
