Carnival pride quarter pushers

Has anyone who has been on the pride in the last month seen if they still have quarter pushers in the casino?

While not on the last month, I would be shocked to see them go.

Is there actually any money to be made in those? Serious question. Unlike slots where you at least have a chance or table games where it is a combination of luck and skill, I cant see a big return for anyone on those. Or any return for that matter.

Over the long run, there is no money to be made on any casino game.

That's true. The house will always win, especially when you take your winnings and give it all back.

You are always guaranteed to eventually win in the casino as long as you dont run out of money.

At least not on the ones on Carnival. If you look, for every one quarter that falls into the tray for you - four or five fall into the inside of the machine for the house.

My wife asked a casino host what hetheough the machine with the best payout was, "It's  that one over there by the wall. You put your card in and money comes out. We call it the ATM."

The ATM only takes $4 of your money when you put your card in. Best deal in the house.

I believe on MG (we were last on MG this past December) the quarter push machines were relocated to the arcade and some sort of token replaced actual quarters (obviously due to venue).

Our last cruise on Sunshine (8 or 9 months ago) they still had the machines in the casino.  We will be back on Sunshine later this year and hopefully they will still be in casino using quarters.

We once collected all the chips to spell out B-O-N-U-S. I seem to remember it paid $100. This was from saving up those chips from various cruises over the years. And take note next time you see one onboard: they rarely have the "S" chip in any of the machines!

These machines will take your money. However there is a way to play and limit your losses, while others lose money hand over fist. My wife loves this machine. She got four S coins on one cruise. Below is a picture of one cruise earnings. She still lost money, but less than $100 for the whole cruise.
