Norwich Cruiser Posted June 23 #1 Share Posted June 23 Won’t be doing a live blog but will post occasionally. Left hotel by taxi at 10.15 dropped off at 10.30. Hundreds of cruisers already there. Superbly organised check in. On board just before 11.00. Went to the Windjammer about 12.00 ( it’s sort of a tradition ) No problem getting a nice table by the window. Okay we know it’s the Presidents cruise but the wonderful offerings included. Stacks of huge prawns probably langoustines Scallops Crab legs Lobster ( good job I enjoy sea food ) Roast beef ( about the size of a horse incredible ) Roast turkey with all the trimmings. First impressions very favourable. There were the usual people having a competition to see who could get the most on there plate 😅😅😅😅😅 Staterooms open bang on time. All unpacked and looking forward to sail a way.

Jetdriver787 Posted June 23 #7 Share Posted June 23 I like to think of every cruise as a “Presidents cruise!” Constantly handing everyone pictures of Presidents, Guest services having taken all my founding fathers and First secretaries of the Treasury! 🤦🏻♂️ 2

crzndeb Posted June 23 #11 Share Posted June 23 My daughter and granddaughter board on the 30th. She was a bit confused by the app, since the Oasis is interporting (is that what it’s called?) and embarks and disembarks in both Barcelona and Rome? Norwich Cruiser Posted June 24 Author #14 Share Posted June 24 Today’s brief update from cloudy Palma. The d and d+ lounge ( crown lounge ) is now in the dungeon as per other “ o “ class on deck four. A shame we used to like the original position overlooking the boardwalk. There was a special d and d+ sail away cocktail party yesterday afternoon with anything you want drinks plus plentiful canapés. Very well presented. They put all names in a hat yesterday and pulled out three names for the winners it’s a cruise for a party of four on Wonder of the Seas. Needless to say we weren’t lucky. They are however doing this every day so fingers crossed. Enjoyed prime rib in the MDR last night. Later today there is a Moët champagne party in the solarium again for d and d+. So far so good very impressed. A footnote. Unfortunately because of computer issues many cruisers flying in from Manchester arrived late and missed the sailing. You know what we all say arrive at least a day early. Ourusualbeach no news as yet. 9

Norwich Cruiser Posted June 24 Author #16 Share Posted June 24 We attended the Moet champagne party this afternoon and unfortunately we are a little worse for wear. It was held in the solarium and I must say it was once again extremely well organised and the champagne absolutely free flowing it was an absolute top class event. We met the president and had the obligatory photograph with him. Incredibly they gave away another 35 top extremely valuable prizes including jewellery to the value of $2500.00 They also did a draw for a free cruise on Icon of the Seas which a veteran cruiser won. Unfortunately as usual we won diddly squit but we did enjoy a soft serve ice cream 🍦 on the way back to our stateroom, The president had a party of young ladies around him but I’ve no idea who they were. Received out first little present today a nice little presidents cruise toilet bag. There’s going to be a major announcement tomorrow at 11.00am probably about next years cruise but not sure if we’ll be attending as we’ve not confirmed our arrangements.

Norwich Cruiser Posted June 25 Author #21 Share Posted June 25 So we attended this morning at 11.00 am in all honesty we wouldn’t normally bother but really just to get the inside track on the next cruise as we’d been asked the question and to get all the up to date news. The president we found to be an extremely likeable guy very down to earth. The question was asked about an Icon class ship coming to the Mediterranean but the answer was that there is absolutely no chance. Needless to say we once again never won a free cruise. 2

We don’t need an Icon class. We just need variety on itineraries and durations in Europe. 6

Thanks but not really what I had in mind. Nothing wrong with wishing RC would do again, what they used to be good at. Anyway, back to the presidents cruise.
