AerynSun_JohnCrighton Posted June 26 #1 Share Posted June 26 Going in Dec. Does it get cool at night? Should I pack some hoodies?
9tee2Sea Posted June 26 #2 Share Posted June 26 I would also take a travel umbrella. December is in the rainy season. San Diego is a costal area, so it can be very foggy at night. With all the moisture in the air, you can expect some drizzles, or even down right rain
CruiserBruce Posted June 26 #3 Share Posted June 26 A quick Google search for "San Diego weather, December" will get you a lot of factual data.
ATSEAMYLIFE Posted June 26 #4 Share Posted June 26 We live just south of San Diego and it does get cool once the sun goes down. I would definitely pack a hoodie and a light weight waterproof windbreaker is always good.
LynnSD Posted July 1 #5 Share Posted July 1 We live in SD and we always take a jacket for evening.
KroozNut Posted July 6 #6 Share Posted July 6 (edited) San Diego evenings in December can get downright chilly, and sometimes wet.. Edited July 6 by KroozNut

Those numbers look like inland numbers and not on the coast. We have the same weather as SD coast and it's currently low 70's and that chart shows mid-80's. Just go a few miles inland and the temp can be 10-15 degrees higher and go a few miles more and it's in the 90's. Better to search for Coronado, Imperial Beach, or La Jolla weather for the coast. 1
