Was there any added flavour on the roasted pumpkin? We've had it with spices (middle eastern flavours) - very yummy.

Is it just me, or do those cookies on the left look "freestyle" 🤔 - if it was NCL I'd suspect a kitchen equipment economy drive.

I do believe those are the oatmeal raisin cookies, my favorite. Yummmmmy.  They always look like that.  Princess is known for them.  YVRteacher, I hope you tried them

They will scan your medallion like they do at the bar.

Looks like you were able to dock in Nuuk.  That's a plus.

We are still two days away from Greenland.

They look great for people who like raisins. I am neither a people person nor a raisin person. So far I have tried the peanut butter and the chocolate chip. Both are excellent.

On the Bayou

What a creative, innovative production with spectacular costumes.

Like the other night, this seemed like a shortened version: it was only 34 minutes.

Being at the party felt like being part of something special. Prizes were given to passengers and crew: one of the dancers won a model of the ship, another dancer won a free shore excursion, a bartender named Claudius won a free specialty dining meal and a member of the casino team scored a collagen treatment.

Aaron and the captain gave speeches and the captain honoured the crew and how it is the people that make this ship so special. I agree with him!

Stanley Bear started rubbing his tummy during the speeches, hinting of hunger and yearning for cake. The captain cut the cakes but seemed reluctant to cut into the cake that was shaped like a ship. Happy Birthday was belted out a couple of times, confetti streamed down, blue drinks were available and cupcakes came around on silver platters.

In Hawaii the sunsets are quick. Here in the Atlantic the farther north we go the longer the sunsets linger.

The first photo was taken out on the promenade deck. Gosh that was cold! It felt like the Arctic out there.

The next three photos were taken through the cabin window. If they look a bit smudgy it is because I accidentally bumped my nose into the window when I was watching the helicopter and there are still nose marks on the glass.

Here's the link to Cruise Mapper:

Here's a link to your weather:

I haven't received a cruise log for several voyages.  I think it was discontinued post pandemic.  Too Bad, that was a great take away.

I liked the cruise logs too. I saw an ad somewhere online yesterday for framed maps of your cruise. The maps show exactly where you cruised. I wish I could remember the website.

My scientific research has conclusively determined that undies dry faster when hung from a hanger inserted in the ceiling vent than on the clothesline in the shower.

The site is called The Cruise Maps https://thecruisemaps.com/, they use satellite data from the ship to plot your actual route very accurately.  We ordered one from our Antarctica cruise, it's fantastic, and has pride of place on our wall.  We never quite knew where we were on that cruise, as there are no "ports" as such.  Now we know!

Excitement is brewing! Actually, I should say excitement is cooking in a pizza oven but that isn’t a real expression.

My mom and dad are in the 1986 Guinness Book of World Records and now I have the opportunity to be part of a world record too!

Woo hoo!

Free pizza and a Guinness World Record? I will do my part!

He keeps brushing the breadcrumbs off the tablecloth and is doing so quite vigorously. I have sandals on and the bread crumbs are landing on my toes.

I don’t know the protocol for breadcrumbs on toes!!

Help!

Take your sandal off and give it a good shake each time he does that…j/k.

I was able to listen to the Ice Pilot’s presentation. It was excellent and I learned a lot about ice. The pilots are from Denmark and they boarded the Island Princess in Corner Brook and will disembark in Reykjavik.

Similar to Debra on "Everybody Loves Raymond". One of the classic episodes...

This happened to me in college!  Took my friend almost an hour to unravel, which delayed our bar hopping.  At least I was not AIS’d, which is one of my favorite Raymond lines.

I think it was just pumpkin flavour. No spices.

Alfredo’s is my ride or die! Except my go-to has now gone (not that you would care as it’s about as meat focused as you can get). They had the best veal filled pasta pouches ever (I know there’s a proper name for them but you get the gist). I also love their veggie pizza with the avocado….yum yum yum

I always get the veggie pizza with no cheese and extra avocado on the side. Yummy!
