coaster Posted July 21 #1 Share Posted July 21 (edited) I know the bigger and newer ships get lots of attention with all the bells and whistles. Love Grandeur's teak outdoor promenade deck. Part of it was closed to refurbish it on our last sailing on her late 2022. Crew was sanding it down and putting on a new varnish. I know another Vision class Rhapsody that we have been on 3 times in the past just has metal plating with some type of non slip coating. I really appreciate older ships with touches like this. Is Grandeur the only ship in the Royal fleet with this throwback feature. Edited July 21 by coaster
neverbeenhere Posted July 21 #2 Share Posted July 21 Quite sure you are correct. Only one ship.

coaster Posted July 21 Author #4 Share Posted July 21 (edited) Trying to post a picture I took of the Grandeur's beautiful teak promenade. Can't tell if it is working. Can anyone see it? teak Edited July 21 by coaster

shipgeeks Posted July 21 #6 Share Posted July 21 Vision's Promenade Deck has partially (70%?) teak flooring, and the rest the non-wood stuff.

Hoopster95 Posted July 21 #8 Share Posted July 21 Rhapsody March 2023, so I assume they haven't ripped this whole deck out in the last year.

Have sailed on Rhapsody 3 times from Tampa since 2018. Just didn't recall. Too many cheap cruises on other ships after the restart from Covid maybe... Thanks for the fact check.
