I just sailed on Silversea's Silver Muse and that description fits it.

I didn't care for that ship and will not be sailing on Silversea again.

Interesting.  What was it that you didn't like about it?  We haven't been on Muse (sister ship) as yet.  I understand there are some layout differences.

The public spaces are cramped with low ceilings.

No Early dining (Before 7:30) unless you want to sit outside by the pool. We were in Alaska.

Dining took 1 1/2 to 2 hours. No evening buffet.

The morning buffet had an Omelet station 10 feet from my table, but I had to wait till I got the attention of a Waiter to take my Order then wait till my omelet arrived 20 min. later.

The entertainment in the main theater was Once at 9:30 or 9:45pm.

No Pizza unless you went to an Outside upper deck area and then you had to order and wait 20 Min. for a Complete Pizza even if you only wanted 2 slices.

Ice cream (No gelato) only available at the same outside counter.

No greeting of guests returning to the ship in port. Just a bare gangway with one bored security guard to scan your keycard Inside the ship? I like Celebrities Welcoming set up with easy up's, carpets, Furniture, water and towels and a Welcome Back.

I had guests in the cabin next to mine that Slammed their cabin door Every time they went In or Out and the noise was so loud it would wake me up.

 Complaints to staff were ignored.

Bingo was rushed and the only prizes were points that could be traded in at the end of the cruise for Branded swag?

The Casino was a tiny space just so they could say they Had One.

The ships officers were never around and had no interest in talking to the guests.

The Food in the included dining room was hit or miss. I had a porkchop that was so tough it would take a chainsaw to cut it. Requested a replacement and it was Worse.

Their Prime Rib was served Cold and a requested replacement was still frozen in the middle.

What I ate of it was not as good as Celebrities served in the main dining room.

All that for a premium price?

 I'll stick with Celebrity.

They may be M class size but if so they will accommodate 3000 guests and not 2100.

Probably right but we will need to wait and see.

Smaller cabins 😉😁

And fewer and smaller pubic areas. Less crew per passengers so less crew quarters.

We can speculate forever - but we just need to be patient for RCCL to give us details of the Discovery ships.  Possibly size and capacity are still subject to final decisions and economic analysis.

Here is an example of how X increased guest capacity.

The first  Solstice class ship Solstice had a guest capacity of 2852.

The Last Solstice class ship Reflection has a guest capacity of 3046.

Granted Reflection has a slight increase of Tonnage but one way X increased the guest capacity was by Taking 50% of the public space from the forward facing Sky Lounge and using it for More staterooms.
