Tinknock50 Posted August 2 #1 Share Posted August 2 Searches haven't been helpful, so does someone know how obstructed F510 is on Coral Princess? Thanks!

Its not obstructed. It's not listed as obstructed on the deck plans, now is there anything in front of it, etc
satxdiver Posted August 2 #3 Share Posted August 2 There is nothing in front of that cabin. However is next to the Casino which is open 24 hours while at sea which may mean a lot of binging. Also it is right below the Promenade which can get a lot of foot traffic and possibly some joggers.

Does that exist or do you know where it is? An online search refers to them as being obstructed.

I will have to consider that.
Tinknock50 Posted August 2 Author #6 Share Posted August 2 Thanks for your help. I moved up to one of those forward cabins ahead of the balconies on Emerald deck. I love movement and the cabin is slightly larger too.

Thanks! I just booked F512. From all my research, these cabins are down a private corridor and noise from the casino is not an issue. Maybe the first cabin would hear more. 🤷♀️ I also checked the deck above and some have wedding chapel above them . Mine seems to have the start of Sabatini's Italian restaurant. Not worried about too much noise from there. We'll worth it for the great location and fantastic room set up. Great location, no noise from the Casino nearby or Promenade Deck above. The view from the very large window is not obstructed and the bed is not positioned under the window. We liked the location so much, we have booked a similar cabin for our next cruise which is on the Diamond Princess. Unfortunately as it is a bigger ship and a slightly different layout, the cabins are more forward and I don't think we are going to get the larger viewing window and the bed will be placed under the window. Rare cr8tiv1 Posted August 30 #9 Share Posted August 30 I peaked in on the Island cabins. Bed configeration is dependent on if it is a quad or not. If the beds drop from the ceiling/or attached to the wall, the twins "have" to be under the window. If a double, the bed is against a wall with the tv on the opposite wall. Great location. Private hallway. No smoke from casino. Bigger windows.

I like to have continental breakfast by the window. I really like moving to those forward cabins on Emerald deck because of the extra sq ft by the window. Joll, did you experience any smoke from the casino in your cabin? The cabins look really nice and seem very private, but I usually avoid the casino area because cigarette smoke irritates my lungs. In Australia it is illegal to smoke inside buildings and entertainment venues, so they create designated smoking areas outside or special smoking rooms which are supposed to filter the air. This also applies to ships sailing from Australia where there is NO SMOKING in the Casino, only at outside areas on certain decks. Whilst The Coral Princess was homeported in Brisbane (Australia) for the last couple of years, this was the case, and it will continue to be so when she is replaced by the Diamond Princess. Therefore it depends on the area/countries where you will be cruising. The Coral Princess has now left Australia permanently, so I guess it's back to the horrible smoke in the Casino for anyone who cruises on her.

That's great! I sure wish it was the case here in the US; you have some very sensible laws.
