kpark895 Posted August 3 #1 Share Posted August 3 My daughter is on a special high protein diet, and she drinks some of these shakes every day. Is she allowed to bring them onboard? I looked at the Celebrity list of things not allowed, and I would guess if they're considered food, the answer would be yes. If they're considered beverages, not sure. Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted August 3 #2 Share Posted August 3 Is this some type of powder that you mix yourself or is it in liquid form already?
Rare Shiba_Lover Posted August 3 #3 Share Posted August 3 If it is a medical need - you can likely make sure it is allowed. You can contact the special needs department to be sure - Medical Needs (celebritycruises.com)
Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted August 3 #4 Share Posted August 3 If powder form, I feel certain that you can bring it on board.
Rare markeb Posted August 4 #5 Share Posted August 4 Agree on the special needs just to be sure. I think this has come up in the past, more from a protein supplement for people training. My foggy memory is it was OK. But if a health care provider is on record (written letter/script) that she needs it, I'm confident the special needs folks will facilitate it. Rare NMTraveller Posted August 4 #6 Share Posted August 4 We have brought powders on board. No problem.
WestLakeGirl Posted August 4 #7 Share Posted August 4 Whether liquid or powder, there should be no problem bringing what you need on board with you. The screeners are looking for Alcohol
Nado44 Posted August 4 #8 Share Posted August 4 At Spa Cafe on a recent Edge sailing, a crew member blended a special drink (kale tonic) with spoonfuls of protein powder provided by the guest. Could be an option for your daughter.
kpark895 Posted August 4 Author #9 Share Posted August 4 Thanks for the answers. They are liquid shakes - she doesn't use powder.
