Keys punched on Eurodam?

Boarding the Eurodam next week.  Any chance the room keys are already punched or will the guest services do it?  Only want to bring one type of lanyard--saving luggage space!  Thanks for current knowledge.

several of the ships cannot punch their cards because of electronics.  Glad to hear they will on Eurodam.  Thanks.

The ones with the 'electronics' now come pre punched.

Eurodam in February, and Koningsdam April, and Nieuw Amsterdam in May, were not pre punched.  All were subsequently punched by Guest Services with Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam cards punched at the top through the ship name.  Koningsdam card was punched by Guest Services in the lower right corner through my Mariner Star status.

On my past few cruises, the card had a slit at the top rather than a hole.  I pulled this image from the internet as an example.

Doe that mean you've reached Hole-y Mariner status? 👼

This was the situation on our Zaandam cruise in March. DW's card had this, mine did not. Doesn't matter to us...neither of us use a lanyard.

On the Eurodam last Sept, we bought lanyards in the shop, and they punched our cards for us there.  🙂

Thanks so much for all the responses.  I seldom ask questions on here but learn from others.  25 years sailing with HAL and you guys are wonderful with sharing knowledge!

Had that issue also in the past, but they must have come up with a resolution as my last four voyages I have been able to get my card punched.
