ID for minor at a port

Normally when my husband and I get off at a port we bring our drivers licence along with our sail and sign cards. 
Do we need to take off if for our daughter who is 11?

we will be using a passport to board the ship, but I didn’t really want to take that off the ship while we are out for the day

No, just her sail & sign card.

Exactly this. ID is only needed for 16 and up.

We have state issued ID for our children and grandchildren.

No, you do not need to take ID off for minor children.

 

There may be a few exceptions to this rule such as in European or Asian ports that require a visa or passport. The ship would let you know this well ahead of time.

No, they do not need it. But I do take it with me when we get off the ship along with the ship card.
