This is probably a silly question... it's about the 360 experience

Hello, hope everyone's doing well today 🙂

My partner and I are considering booking the 360 experience for our December sailing and in conversation about it, this question came up.

We do not dress formally. We wear smart casual when having dinner in the main dining room or a specialty restaurant, we definitely wear trousers and a proper shirt, but I wouldn't call it formal at all.

If I were making a reservation for the 360 experience using the Princess app ahead of time, how do I ensure the night I select for our experience isn't also a formal night. I would hate to book it and then be turned away because we don't have formal attire with us.

It is not a silly question. I asked kind of the same thing a few weeks ago. Lots of nice folks here responded. I was told that whatever I would wear out to a nice, not elaborate dinner at home will work for the 360. Nice pants and a collared polo shirt for my hubby and a nice pair of pants and top for me and we would be good to go.

O need to dress up long pants and a decent shirt will suffice. I do not even own a tie anymore. All I take on cruises for dinner are crew pants (no belt needed) and a short sleeve shirt. Unless you show up in cut off shorts and a dirty t shirt you will be fine. Sometimes I even wear jeans to dinner

Funny enough, both of us will have to do some shopping for the trip. All we own are t-shirts and shorts, no pants. But that's easier (and less expensive) to do than a tux. 😅

Agree with others, you do not have to dress formal, unless you wanted to.
You’ll be fine.
If this is a 10 night Enchanted, you’ll probably have 2 formal nights.  Usually, the 1st sea day (Dec 22} and the next to the last sea day (Dec 28).  On your sailing though, it might be Dec 25 for one of them.

Check your Travel Summary it will list how many.

I’ve been twice and wore my go to little black dress.  Honestly you will see people dressed super casual and others more formal.  It’s all about the experience which is amazing and the food is too.

Don't mind answering. This is an honest answer, in all seriousness honest, no fudging about - I've never been to one.

Here in Maui, shorts are perfectly acceptable at the funerals I've attended. I suspect that's also true in Florida. For years, I didn't own any long pants. I bought some for our Iceland cruise, then wore them to dinner on our Fort Lauderdale to Quebec cruise and will be bringing them to Alaska in a couple of weeks.

How lucky you are!

I suppose.

Though I am well past the age of adulthood in the US, I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and as such was not able to have a relationship with my family (beyond my parents) when I came out many years ago. Because of this, I have been unable to attend the funerals of family members that have passed, including grandparents, uncles, aunts, and so forth.

I still have my parents and my chosen family, plus my partner - am not alone - but I am not sure I would call it luck. 🙂

Will be doing the same - buying some long pants and probably some outdoor shoes that one might use for hiking - for our Alaska cruise. I saw Princess has some nice jackets for Alaska sailings, hopefully they still have them available when we do our Alaska voyage next September.

So sorry for your troubles.  Didn’t mean ill intent.
I hope you have a great cruise.

I know you didn't. 🙂 No offense or ill feelings intended from me either. Was just one of those things.... Hope you have a nice day!

Is the 360 experience available on all ships or just a few of them.  We will be sailing on Sky Princess and have not seen it on deck plans or cruise options.

Enchanted and Discovery feature the 360 Experience, I'm pretty sure it's not on other ships (yet) but wait for others to chime in and confirm. I haven't sailed since 2015, and can only repeat to you what I see on their website, hehe.

We took the 360 experience on Discovery earlier this year. It was a formal night, but only two gentlemen were in formal dress. The rest were pretty casual. Please don’t worry about it. The experience is worth every penny and we thoroughly enjoyed it, far too much to worry about what we or anyone else was wearing!

It is only on the Discovery and the Enchanted because the space was created when the ships were built. To add it to an existing ship you would have to create the space with all the audio visual effects which are unique and tot seen or heard in the rest of the deck
