Rare JamieLogical Posted September 17 #27 Share Posted September 17 I have been onboard NCL and MSC for Super Bowls and they usually do fun things like have half the cruise director staff in one team's colors and half in the other team's colors, have balloons in both team's colors, have cakes in both teams colors, and show the game on every public television/screen in every public space. The only downside is, no commercials! So for people who like to watch the Super Bowl just for the commercials, you are SOL.

Those commercials always end up on YouTube so only SOL for seeing them in real time. I normally take my bio and food breaks during the commercials and half time so I always go looking for them on YT later. We have a unique situation coming up this and the following Saturday. Our middle grandson plays football for a small private college in PA and his games are at noon on Saturday. That's embarkation and Turn Around day for us so most likely we'll be camped out in our stateroom with pizza hoping we can catch the game.

One superbowl cruise was on Princess. Boarded Sunday, watched the game that night and then next day noro reared its ugly head. We never hit a port, cruise shortened to 5 days. Got all of our money back, free airfare home, and a nice FCC.

I think the Pats but don’t remember their opponent. Lol my team won in 2017 but I wasn’t on a cruise.
Rare Illbcruzn4life Posted Friday at 06:01 AM #33 Share Posted Friday at 06:01 AM On Carnival right now and the game was on tonight even though it was on Amazon Prime so it is possible.

Surprise Carnival != MSC. Not sure where people get the notion that just because one cruise line can do something does not mean they all have that same capability. Anastas617 Posted Saturday at 04:07 AM #36 Share Posted Saturday at 04:07 AM Not sure if they changed providers for their sports, but my Meraviglia cruise on 9/8 had games on in Brass Anchor (three of the 1pm games, though they only advertised two), but did not have every game on in the staterooms when I went up to my room early for the safety video (Muster was at 4pm...it was an 8pm departure from Brooklyn). They did have the Monday and Thursday night games on. I have FubuTV and surprisingly I could stream games on my phone even though I only had the basic wifi package (but FubuTV knew I wasn't home and I couldn't get my Patriots 😞 ). I couldn't watch YouTube successfully, which makes me wonder if they just throttle specific popular sites for those that don't upgrade.
