Good morning. It is as I feared, morning has come way too early.

 

Going to throw my stuff together and get this show on the road. Back to reality!

I can feel us docking. That is usually my morning wake up alarm so I definitely jumped the gun 😆.

I don’t think I like the idea of short cruises, because they’re, well, short. By the time you’ve got over embarkation, it is time to pack. Nonetheless, thank you for taking me with you.

The benefit, at least for someone close to the ports, is the ease of taking frequent trips. I missed no work. Consider it a supplement, not replacement for longer cruises.

 

If I had to fly in, or this was my only trip, yes I agree, it's far too short.

Sitting in the theater. Bags lined up in the order we arrived. Very civilized process.

 

I could really use a free coffee but I've started my fast which will not end until about 1:15. Gotta start undoing the backwards progress of the week 😀

The shortest I’ve done is a five nighter, which was my first time on QE. I did enjoy it, but definitely wanted more, especially as I went straight back to the start of school term.

 

When is your next jaunt? I wouldn’t want to miss it.

My shortest was 2 days 😱. 

 

I had a trip planned over Halloween to celebrate my birthday which is Halloween adjacent but my mom is quite insistent on attending her class reunion which they had the bad sense to book in the same time frame so I sadly had to cancel it and pay a $200 penalty on a "free" cruise.

 

Literally paid the cruise line more to not go than to go which is fair since I took their room out of inventory but it definitely stings.

 

To answer your question though, the next one on the books is January 3, 2025 on Liberty of the Seas but I will be back before then, just don't have the exact dates locked down yet.

We lined up at 730 and we were on our way. Security in the terminal was surprised my fan was confiscated although there were a couple on the table.

 

On the shuttle now, probably try for a nap when I get home but I'll post my final thoughts soon.

Aperol Spritz is now my favorite drink while cruising.  I was on HAL's Rotterdam last year for the 150th Anniversary sailing (17 nights and added 2 5-nights at the end).  Tried one and loved it.  Light and refreshing.  Not heavy on the alcohol.  Great when you want to drink over a few hours but don't want to get hammered.  At my age, I can rarely drink enough to even get a buzz without feeling like crap the next day.  I haven't had that problem when drinking these.

 

I checked in this morning for my 11/4 Reflection sailing.  Got 11:30 check-in.  I'll check in next Wednesday for the 11/9 Beyond.

 

I rarely go to shows on ships any longer, but I may have to check out a couple on X.  But I'll definitely pass on ABBA singalong, thanks! 😁

Great job @jam19872016  I so enjoy following your cruising even though virtually.  
 

Food looked very good on all accounts. I am opposite to you I always enjoy the buffet much more then MDR I cannot sit still too long and the Buffet fits the bill most times.  I mostly cruise Royal never sailed others except Carnival and I am not picky if it’s food and something I like I’m good.  I have to say my last cruise on Magic left allot to be desired where the food was concerned, I understand from more recent reviews it’s improving. My next cruise is Oasis in November so hopefully food is good. 
 

Too bad you didn’t win in the casino I keep hoping you are able to share with us a big win. Keep trying 😀
