Purchasing onboard credits pre-cruise question

I am considering purchasing some onboard credits prior to my cruise since this exchange rate on Princess is a bit more favourable. As obc can be used for casino play, would I be able to cash any unused credits from the folio at the casino, rather than waiting for a refund cheque in the mail after the cruise?

You can’t “cash in” OBC in the casino but you can use it to buy chips or credit in slot machines. Unused chips or your casino bank can be cashed out when you are done gambling.

You can use OBC to play at the casino and then cash in your winnings or your remaining balance. But, you must play. You can not use the casino as an ATM. Refundable OBC remaining in your account will be returned to you after you disembark.

After you have transferred your OBC from your cabin account into a casino account, you MUST play some at the slots then you can cash out and go to the cashier to get your money.  If you don’t play, they freeze your account.

 

If you have under $25 refundable left in your cabin account you can cash out at Guest Services on the last day.
