So WiFi, I paid for the upgraded streaming BUT there has been no upgrade according to my SpeedTest App. I went to the concierge to let them know and they questioned me on my upgraded package (I showed them my payment) AND questioned my statement that I was not getting StarLink which clearly shows on the SpeedTest App that I’m not. WTH?? I went to the Internet cafe but the girl there could not do anything so I’ll return tomorrow to get it sorted out. It’s been a few years since I’ve cruised in the Haven. So far I am definitely noticing a difference in concierge service. Perhaps it’s just the Epic??

I tell them of the internet issues, ask them to take care of it and check back the next day if they had it resolved!

Checked in with the concierge who was much more helpful today. Perhaps they were too busy yesterday with first day issues. Anyway they removed the WiFi upgrade fee. StarLink never did show up on my Speedtest and I’m getting the same results without it, 🤷‍♀️

Epic is nice because with access to that Posh deck you have a bar right there steps away from your sun lounger.

 

Main pool on Epic also is open air unlike many of the other ships with the retractable roof.

 

If you're into exercise and such, Epic also has a private gym and sauna just for Haven guests. When you walk through the hallway on the Haven pool deck towards the hot tubs, it's somewhere back there. Formal exercise and me are not always on speaking terms, so I haven't visited myself. When you're on that Haven pool deck, you'll also see a small upper area that's like a bit of a mini private sun deck, but those get snatched up quick. Lots of little nooks and crannies on that ship within the Haven to explore.

Great tip, thanks! Yeh I am directionally challenged and keep getting turned around in the Haven area.😂

Some of us have to work and keep economy going so others can have mudslides and fancy French toast, but no triangle hashbrowns.

That's good to hear.  Hopefully, like you said, it was just the turn around day frustrations I'm sure the whole staff feels.  Doesnt make it ok, but anyone who can say they've never had a day they werent exactly proud of their performance.. Well, I'm not as good as they are.   The whole starlink thing is weird though.. But glad they at least took the fee off..  We will be on the Epic in a couple months so loving to get to start living thru you.. But we're only in a regular balcony, not the Haven.

The Haven is awesome when the price is right but I can still have a great time in any cabin. I’ll buy the specialty dining package, Premium beverage package, Vibe/Posh if available and use my Platinum perks. Haven-light as @Sthrngary so named it. The Epic is a big ship with a great Spice H20 area. There is plenty of room to spread out IMO. Today it just seemed like the lines at guest services and shore excursions was long. Enjoy your cruise!🤗

Yea, I'm gonna miss the vibe.. We only booked in Feb for this December and Posh was already out.   But, that's to be expected since it's part of the haven..   It'll be fine, but got spoiled with the vibe on the Escape.  😄

Could be misremembering, but I think he was on the Epic this time last year when I sailed her.  He was on top of everything for me.
