Rare iamchrisstone Posted October 8 Author #53 Share Posted October 8 (edited) I tried lie streaming walking to CoCo Cay and again taking the tram around the island. I don't think they turned out. And for some reason CruiseCritic wasn't working so I couldn't post while I was live, but Ill post them below. I will update thumbnails later. *LIVE* Walking into CoCo Cay *LIVE* CoCo Cay on the Tram Edited October 8 by iamchrisstone
Rare iamchrisstone Posted October 8 Author #54 Share Posted October 8 CoCo Cay is so beautiful. Long story short, there was an overcast at first, we took the tram and then it started pouring. We went to Skipper's until it calmed down then relaxed on the beach. She went to restroom so I figured I could take a minute to update. I'll post more later.

I don’t have any plans to sail on such a large ship, but you never know. I just wanted to say that you and your new wife make a lovely pair! Ahhh thanks! And to be fair, i would sail on smaller ships if they were newer with tech and activities. Ill prob still do smaller ones. Carnival was supposed to make brand new ones but much smaller planned to come out after covid but not sure if they scrapped that. thank you for the compliment. We make a lovely pair all because of her.

Rare iamchrisstone Posted October 9 Author #61 Share Posted October 9 We came back to the ship a little early from CoCo Cay. Maybe 1pm? Dropped stuff off at the room and went up to Windjammer. Let me say this. I know a lot of people are against or not a fan of the Windjammer and I actually understand. I actually really enjoy it. Maybe I'm lucky but I have never had bad food there, everything was fresh and whenever I see someone grab food and drop it, a server is there immediately to clean it up. Anywhere else I am not a fan of buffet's generally as people are nasty, but something about the RCC buffet's are very good and clean in my opinion. After lunch, we filled up our Owalla's and ran to the room to change so that I could take her to do the FloRider, Rock Climbing Wall and The Abyss. We fell asleep for like 2 hours or something. Go figure. We got up, she did the rock climbing wall for the first time ever (posted a video on my Facebook and will post a long form video later) and then the Abyss. Went to Playmakers to just sit (Alvin hooked up with a slice of cake with our name on it) and talk for a few and then walked the ship so she could see more of it. We then went to the show, "All In". WOW! It was great. I do a lot of drone work and drone photography/video for fun so it was neat to see the technology. She really enjoys dancing and music, so it was great for both of us. I can't wait to edit the video, but will probably be limited on how much I can post because of the songs. From there we went to Pesky Parrot just to experience the ambiance and then in the main area in front of there was a dance party. We hung out as people danced just enjoying the environment and the DJ. Oh, and we went into the shop and bought a couple of gifts. She never had the pizza so after the dance party we went in there. She got a slice of cheese and I tried the Carnivore (meats). Again, probably the best pizza on a ship I've had. Did they change the recipe? Then we went for a walk around deck 5. Tried to play ping pong but that obviously didn't work with all of the wind. Saw some birds down there and enjoyed the aft. We came up to the room, decompressed and she went to bed. Forgot 2 things. First, she left her phone in the theater after the show, so I had to go back and get it. Luckily it was still there. Second thing is she has never seen or had towel animals and our room steward (Helen) made a cake out of towels and a towel owl. Real cool! Forgot a 3rd thing. The traveling piano man was in an elevator playing the piano having a sing along party. Cool! Shoot! Forgot yet another thing. We messaged guest services from the app and asked for playing cards. Back in the day they would give you some with the RCC logo on them. Well, these didn't have the logo but a rep named Demar brought them to us (unopened) and then said he could do a trick for us. He did 2. I watch card tricks closely not really to figure out how they do it, but to see where the slight of hand was. He destroyed my brain with his tricks! Super cool. Ok, I'm finally going to bed. Anyone still following our honeymoon, thank you. We are having a blast. 15

Cutting through all the islands to be in good seas. I think we will be avoiding all storms and rough seas. Basically coast guard shut down our port until after the storm then they need to inspect. Then they will let us in.

Rare iamchrisstone Posted October 10 Author #73 Share Posted October 10 Today was eventful. We woke up, showered and she went to Windjammer just to grab a little breakfast, but nothing heavy. We ate and then headed to the Behind the Scenes tour. That was fun. Rebekah took notes and we will give full details when we do our long form video, but let me try to remember. Started off in main dining room then proceeded to galley, food storage, trash, laundry, bridge, control center and some other things like behind the stage of the theater. She was amazed that the cruise ships have a jail and a morgue. I am really excited to give everyone the full details about the tour. Feel free to ask direct questions and I will be happy to answer. We had the escape room planned for noon. I was going to surprise her with that because she has never done one, but the tour ran late so I contacted guest services and asked for a refund. It was done immediately. She was feeling horrible. I thought this whole time she was just exhausted but was fighting an infection. We made an appointment with the medical center / ship hospital. The medical center has I think it was 4+ doctors and over 6 nurses. They can take care of basic needs, minor surgeries, life saving methods and much more. Warning, if you make an appointment it is $250USD if during hours and $350 if during off hours. This is just for the doctor. Any tests and meds will cost you even more. Figured this is good info to pass along. Before the doctor, we go to main dining room to eat. I wanted to make sure she was fed just in case the doctor told her to go to room and rest after. Our servers were amazing, served us very quickly and gave us a second entire meal for both of us to bring back to the room later. Love these guys. Ok, so after the medical visit, we came back to the room. I laid down with her so she could rest and during that time we got the announcement that because of the hurricane that our cruise would be extended a day and a half and we are now going to Labadee instead of Nassau. We got up to go to the Aqua Theater show. I forget the name but 80's music themed. Amazing show! Personally, Prefer the aqua show on the Symphony called Hero. The talent is the just as flawless, but the music selection I preferred, plus it was like ninja's, samari and stuff like that. The show was absolutely brilliant and unique! We head to the Promenade, grab some pizza and go to this little bar (forget the name) to just listen to the live music (solo guitarist).
