Where did this thread hide from me?! I check the photo forum regularly, and somehow never noticed this thread - 6 pages and many months...can't believe I missed it.

Anyway, here are a few pics from Europe to share.

Thanks for the compliments!! Here are my photos from Yalta, although it's not a beautiful city: http://www.tabblo.com/studio/stories/view/444745/

If you click on my name (once in Tabblo) mjpileggi, you can view other photos, such as my Paris pictures (from May 2007) and my photos from Italy May 2006 when I did a solo trip.

Thanks,

Monica, thanks for the link. I'm off to view your albums on Tabblo. Thank you for sharing. Feel free to share because not only am I a cruise junkie, but I love photography too. I've enjoying taking pictures since I was 12 or 13 years old. And that's going back a few decades. :D May I ask what camera or cameras you use most to shoot your pictures. They are so sharp and detailed. Wonderful job!!

Haven't been on CC for a while. I used the Canon SD85 IS for my recent trip. I am now looking to upgrade to a digital SLR - any recommendations out there is greatly appreciated! I'm looking at the Nikon's versus Canon.

Checkout the new Sony A700. In my opinion it blows the competition away. It's based on Minolta dslr/slr technology and has image stabilization in the camera body, not the lens like Canon and Nikon. That means that you don't have to pay for IS everytime you buy a lens. It has all the features that Nikon and Canon have, plus some. I have a Sony A100 and I much prefer it to the Nikon D70. I've never been a Canon fan, not very user friendly.

I travel with two cameras. Most of the pictures were taken with a Canon Digital Rebel XT (250D) Some were taken with my Canon Elph300 (point and shoot)

Thereare Canon people and Nikon people and I just hapen to be a Canon person. My first SLR was a Canon Ftb many years ago and I've just stayed with them over years.

I am pleased you like the pictures.
