Puerto Vallarta excursion

Could anyone suggest excursions in Puerto Vallarta? We will be on the Vision of the Seas in late November and are looking at the San Sebastian Excounter by Air (thru Royal Caribbean) and was wondering if it is worth it? Also, has anyone rented a jeep or any other open air vehicle, on their own, can you provide any insight as to if this is a good idea or not?

Howdy 4569!

Welcome to Cruise Critic and the Need Help Using The Boards? Ask Here! Forum! 04.gif

Thank you so very much for your post concerning excursions in Puerto Vallarta. However, you have posted on the forum where members find the "How to ..." type of information for using Cruise Critic's software. It is not the place for your type of post and the information you seek is off topic here. 05.gif

Per our Guidelines and to help you out, I am moving your thread to the Ports of Call - Mexican Riviera Forum where it will be on topic. The new location for your thread is where your fellow Cruise Critic members will be able to help you.

Also, I suggest you read FAQ and Guidelines on the blue bar above. Especially the "Getting Started" section in FAQ. That's where you will see how a new topic should be consistent with the specific forum you choose. Click here for the list of all the Cruise Critic forums: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/index.php and be sure to read all Announcement and Sticky threads at the top of the various forums for additional information too.

I sincerely hope this will be satisfactory and glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic!

Renting a Jeep is not a very good deal for your money in Puerto Vallarta, as downtown is only a few minutes and a few dollars by taxi away from the port, and there are a plethora of fun excursions available. Parking is difficult downtown, and traffic is manic, and taxis are easy, available, and cheap.

Some of the more popular cruise excursions are the Los Veranos Canopy Tour, ATV & Dune Buggy tours, Dolphin Swim, and a wide variety of boat / snorkel / beach cruises to places like the Marietas Islands, Yelapa, and Las Animas, but there are well over 50 different excursions that you can choose from, for all tastes.

I hope this helps, have a great time!

The San Sebastion excursion is one of the best PVR has to offer. You will fly in a small airplane over the mountains to a small very laid back old village. Friends did it 2 years ago and still talk about it.

It is a very special tour, which has just a few seats, so book early.

Hi Joey, so happy you had a great time!

I know Lougee is doing the tour in January, and others have said they are eyeing that tour, but nobody has seen a review on how it is.

Would you be so kind as to post a review on the tour under:

for Lougee and all those who have been curious as to what the tour is like?
