Can anyone provide me with information on this hotel' date=' and the surrounding area? Tha exact address is 620 E Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL.[/b']

Thanks!

As they say in Real Estate, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION:D

And the location of the Riverside is FABULOUS:D

Direcetly in the middle of Las Olas.....the Blvd with marvelous

sidewalk cafes, full service restaurants and fun and funky

shops.

I have been in the lobby of the hotel but have not stayed

there (yet).

You are also just a walk away from picking up the water

taxi for a nice ride. You can buy a 5.00 all day ticket.

Great fun doing that too.

The hotel has 2 parts....I would stay in the tower as

I believe it is newer.

Enjoy your stay:)

Yes! That's what I wanted to hear!

We actually had booked a cruise out of Tampa, but changed our minds... again, and decided on a 6 day on The Liberty. We had already booked our flight for Tampa.

I did some fancy foot work, and now we're flying in the day before, renting a car, driving to Ft Lauderdale and staying the night there. When we return, we're renting a car, driving to Tampa and staying at The Chase Suites, then flying out.

Thanks for the info, Hotels.com quoted a price of $140 for the night, so I'm going to book it. :D

floatn. if you book it ask for a room in the new tower. Try to get reservations for their restaurant "the Grill Room" you won't be disappointed. Sorry to say the water taxi is $10 for an all day pass now. Still a good deal and a great way to explore the area. ;)

Hi Jan, I knew you were cruising but didn't realize you are back!

How was your cruise? How did you enjoy Las Olas Blvd?

Great area isn't it? I LOVE IT there!

Welcome home:)

Lois - I really fell in love with the Las Olas area and the hotel - and would love to go back again.

We had a great cruise, but eventful - had to go back to San Juan for a medical emergency, alpha, alpha, alpha for heart attack in one of the bars, bravo, bravo, bravo for a fire in one of the dishwashers (at 2:15 am - the captain woke everyone up so it was a little interesting for about an hour), the boat listed going into Nassau and the bingo board fell down and all the glassware, bottles crashed in the bars. But it was a delightful cruise. First time we did an eastern route.

Talking about western again and we will be taking our 15 yr old with us hopefully in August. Jan
