Thank-you for the info. So not to noisy late at night or early in the morning? We have our 4 yr old with us.

You may get noise from the late Mexican night dance party that is held on the Lido deck. (but other then that night you should be fine_)

Serene, do you know anything about the new Window Suite cabins that have been added to some of the Princess ships ? We're trying one out on a cruise next year.

They are considered a suite and do not have a balcony. Caribbean Princess was outfitted with some on the refurb of 2009. I'm sure if you ask this on the Princess board, someone has stayed in/seen one.

Just booked 9 cabins for our family on the 8th deck in the area I asked about. We needed several types of cabins (double, triple, ajoining quad, ajoing doubles) and was able to get them all in close location. It's our first Carnival cruise (have cruised other lines several times) so I appreciated your encouraging reply. BTW......I was born in Phila.! Our cruise in July, 2012 so we have lots of time to get excited.

you just want to be careful whats above you there- There are pizza kitchen, which is opened 24 hours a day. THere are also ice cream machines that are opened 24 hours a day. Avoid the pool area for chair scrapping noises.

and with 9 cabins see if you get group benifits-- like onboard credits or a free berth

The deck above (Vista-deck 9) are all cabins. Do I still have to worry about noise? We did book as a group and got nice OBC and a comp berth. Even with all that the cost is hefty (we're treating the family) so how do I look for reduced rates which I understand Carnival will honor.

If you ask on the carnival boards for a link to carnival's fareviewer you will get some help. I use a TA site. Since TA cannot discount, any publically advertised rate is a Carnival rate, so it doesnt matter which site you use to pretend to book the same cruise.

Are you early saver rate?? That is the only rate they gets price drops after final payment.

Sounds like you are booked into a group rate and NOT the Early Saver rate. ES rate would not get you the OBC. If the rates come down you may lose your credits. weigh options.

I am looking at booking a interior porthole with a upper and lower for a single cruise. I dont care if I have a twin or king bed so this seems a good option for me. I am looking at either 1101, 1102, 1105, 1106, 2106 or 2102. I think I am leaning to 2106. I was fine with R26 on the Sensation. Any advise or info on any of these cabins?

Thanks!!!

Renee

We were in cabin 7515 on the Grandeur of the Seas via an inside guarantee. This was an awesome location because we could take the stairs and be where we wanted to be in seconds but...

It was beside a door that it seemed the entire staff of the ship seemed to use at one point or another. 24-7. And they sure liked to slamming that door!!

The worst part was the noise coming from the Palladium Theatre. Obviously, we went to the shows and were rarely in our room, but what we didn't account for was the rehearsals which seemed to run randomly at the most inconvient times!!

Of course we had a great time, but I wouldn't recommend this stateroom :)

If you are a light sleeper I would not recommend Carnival Fascination inside stateroom E14. It is located under the show stage, and the late evening activities & music can make it difficult to sleep until everything ends.

I've looked high and low, but there just doesn't seem to be a lot of feedback on 1A cabins on Carnival. Anyway ever stayed in one that backs up to the elevators? They are midship and on decks 6 through 9 and deck 2, depending on what ship you're on.

I'm just curious how much elevator noise you get, other than people walking by your cabin. Anybody know?

We stayed in 7411 on Liberty-located right by the elevator- perfect location and no noise from the elevator.

where it appears the waterslide is? I am worried about the noise and am wondering if I need to change my booking. We don't care about daytime noise, but are worried about late night/middle of the night noise. Also wondering if our balcony will be a bit less than private in this location.

Anyone??? Pretty please! :D

For one- the water slide is opened til 5pm. Opens again on sea days after 10am.

You are under the stadium seating.

You may get chair scrapping noise-

Would I move? yes. if wanting to be on that particular deck move forward more-

If you can move down to the empress deck you will be away from the public areas.

I LOVE 7411

Wish I could!! This sailing is nearly sold out according to my PVP. We are actually on the opposite side from the slide and it looks as if the staircase is directly above where our cabin would be. So that means whatever is under the staircase is what would be our "ceiling" and I can't remember what, if anything, is under that staircase. I could be worrying about nothing, or it could be a chair scraping nightmare of a cabin. If anyone has recently been on a Conquest Class ship and can remember what is under that staircase, I would really appreciate knowing! Thanks!

I love Empress too. Didn't want this deck, but it was all they had.

9265 IS available.

chair scrapings are not a nightmare- there is nothing under the staircase there- (I was always thinking that is where they would store chairs in case of hurricanes or windy weather

Thanks! We have to had an interior across the hall for the kids. Turns out my PVP was wrong. I found a balcony and and interior midship on the upper deck and switched it today. DH was ready to cancel the whole thing over that cabin - he is waaaaaay to fussy!

yuck to the upper deck- you get more noise from that area-- where did youmove?

there are a lot of lounges down there- and a band sets up across from the casino bar that does not start until 9pm.

Please tell me you got a cabin in the forward section on the odd side of the ship
