I tried posting this poll on the Ports of Call board and got absolutely no help, so I am trying here.

If you had to pick one, which would you choose?

We are not that interested in snorkeling. We would like a nice beach, chairs, restrooms and shade.

Hands down The Hyatt.

They have a gorgeous beach, bar, resturant with outdoor seating, a very nice swimming pool (within a stones throw of the beach) so why do that?

You can get a massage on the beach, they have hammocks. I could go on and on but see for yourself.

Go to the Hyatt website and look at the property on Grand Cayman. They have lots of info and pictures.

ENJOY YOURSELF!

All of the public access point to the beach rent chairs, umbrellas, etc. They also have restaurant/bars open to the public and watersport equip. for rent. Any of the beaches are an easy taxi/bus ride. No need to purchase a "formal excursion"!

You don't have a "none of the above" option on your poll... ;)

I agree... for what you are looking for, I would just take a taxi to 7 mile beach.

Have a great time! :)

Aren't the first three in your list considered 7 mile beach?

We just returned and got sucked into going to the Royal Palms "Resort." I DO NOT recommend this area of the beach! See my review:

if you are on a ship the size of the navigator, stay on board. I have a bad taste in my mouth after today's tender. The freedom, and the navigator were in G.C. today and it left my wonderfull day in grand caymen with a "i wont do this again" memory.

G.C. should be saved for the smaller ships.........(in my opinion)

A few months ago we took a taxi to Royal Palms, Reef Grill. There is not much there to look at, the beach was really no big deal. I would pass up that area of the beach. Not many palms to look at, and the water was nice & all but from what I hear about other places, there are much nicer areas to see.

Here's a link to the two webcams there:

Basically what you see is all of what you get in those shots.
