Mercury Cabin Question~

:) Hi, I know there have been threads about good cabins,

bad cabins, insides, outsides, etc...etc...etc....etc....

I am going back on Mercury and have an inside up on the Penthouse

Deck....#1043. Just wondering if anyone has stayed up there....?

or even in the cabins across the hall, as those are suites.

I know what the cabin looks like as I have had inside cabins many times

before. Just curious about the area...there are just a few insides

and the rest are suites and it is forward on the ship.

Should it be on the quiet side?

Any input would be appreciated:) Thanks.

Hi Lois !

I have been on Mercury several times, but I have not stayed in this area. It looks ok, but appears to be directly under the pool.

Is there any chance you can get one of the more mid-ship or aft inside cabins on the same deck ? If any are available in the 1053-1056 area, or 1081-1105 area, I would look to move there. If not, I feel you should be ok where you are.... but I cant say for 100% certainty.

I wish I could be of more help. Good luck Lois !

Lois: We stayed in RS 1029 on the other side and forward a bit. It was handy to get to the stairs but just far enough away that we did not have a lot of traffic. We thought it was quite quiet, only once and awhile heard what we thought may be a pool chair being moved. Also handy if you use the spa or gym, We were close enought that we could saunter up in our robes to the Thassotherapy pool or gym without using the elevator. You will be a bit more midship so I assume less rock and roll, although on our cruise in May, there was very little ship movement except when we were the furthest from shore.

Have fun!

Hi Andy and Darcy, thanks:)

Andy, the sailing is in October and the cruise is to Canada......I doubt

the pool will be used much;)

When I was looking for cabins many were sold out.....I guess I could

look again though.....but I think I will be ok.

Thanks again:)

Lois, I've stayed on the Penthouse deck on Mercury further forward and on Galaxy which is the same set up in 1038 and 1045. Apart from the inside cabins on deck 12, those on deck 10 are in the best spot IMHO. Because the number of cabins there is less it is a nice quiet place to be and not far to walk to get up to the pool deck or spa. I think you will be quite happy there, but then you are on a ship so I am sure you will be happy anywhere!:)
