Do we have time?

We will be on the Pearl which ends in San Pedro at 8 a.m. along with 2 more ships. Question: Would we have enough time to catch a van service (because of luggage, 4 of us) over to Universal theme park as park closes at 6 p.m. that day. Our flight doesn't leave till next day at 1:30 p.m. from LAX, so would catch a hotel near Universal.

sure but have you checked to see if NCL is offering a tour which would work out even better?

Is this on a weekday or weekend?

Assuming a weekend, if you arrange a shuttle ahead of time from the pier to Universal City (Stay at either the Sheraton or Hilton...they're right there at the studio/park), you should be there by 10:00 am...Check in (or leave your luggage with the bellhop) and you'll get a good 7 hours in the park...More than enough time...

 

Citywalk, the "free" shopping and restaurant area at Universal is open well past that time and there are plenty of restaurants there...or get a ride somehow or walk down to Micelli's on Cahuenga for a little later dinner with singing waiters...

 

Next day, you can sleep in a little and get a shuttle down to LAX (be there by 11:30 for a 1:30 flight--too bad you're not flying out of Burbank...it's 15 minutes from Universal and is one of the easiest airports anywhere to fly in and out of)...

Yes, you would easily have the entire afternoon there.

Thank you for info. There will be 3 ships in that morning, so wouldn't it take longer to get off with customs being so busy? Believe we get in at 8 a.m.
