Here is my suggestion. Stay on the ship till last. get off around 10.30. By the time you clear immigration and customs it should be around 11.30. Take a cab to the Brown Sugar restaurant. (Good bajan buffet food) Its about 5 mins outside of Bridgetown on the way to the airport. After your lunch head to the airport check your bags early and then walk over to the concorde. (2 min walk from check in terminal) You get a tour through the concorde it's cockpit etc. $35 Bds per adult.

can anybody tell me if there is anything to do before our flight at four p.m.? our ships docks around eight in the morning and we are looking for something to do ,but we are going to have our luggage with us.

Robert! I've hunted you down on an underutilized thread because we had really looked forward to meeting you in Alaska. Maritza said you only came in for breakfast, because we were looking for you at the lounge as well. We thought it was really, really cold. Not to hijack. You can also drop us a line at pbhunt at pacbell dot net. I'm sorry we didhn't get a chance to meet. :D

After your lunch head to the Airport, check your bags early

and then ...........

..You could take a quick trip by taxi over to The Crane,

which you may not have done during your stay here.

It's not far from the Airport,

and is very scenic from the Hotel's outer-edge cliff top, looking North-East!

There is a Bds.$ 25.00 entrance fee(redeemable at Bar/Restaurant)

for those who want to use the beach facilities,

but I'm also told this does not apply if you just want to drop in for a quick drink at the Bar,

and to take a few pics!

The drive is not more than 10 mins. each way,

even with an elderly slow-poke taxi driver (look for a young-ish one)

- just let him know what time to have to be back for,

and have him wait on you,

coz you probably won't spend more than half an hour there

soaking up the sights, and the drink.

Just remember you have a plane to catch

This quick side-trip will amount to your last 'fling' with The Beach in Barbados,

and if for some reason you didn't do The Crane while here,

you will have saved the best for last:

- you'll see what I mean when you get there!
