London Weather in April

Will be in London for three days in mid April. What will the weather be like at that time of year in terms of temperatures? Thank you

The only thing that is predictable about the weather in London at any time and particularly in spring is that you can't predict the weather. It is unlikely to be very hot it might be cold. Take layers and be prepared for rain.

We were in London from 4/18 to 4/21 this year, and the weather was very nice. A little overcast, but mostly sunny.

 

HOWEVER, the bus driver on the way to Southampton said they were having an incredible April: very unusually nice weather.

 

Back again in the Coventry area for 5 days between 5/3 and 5/8, and it was cooler, overcast, and started to rain the last two days.

 

Take layers, a lightweight raincoat, and a travel umbrella. Then you'll be prepared for everything.

And I have been in London when there was snow in April! "Unpredictable" best describes the English weather in the springtime.

Just like anywhere in the United States, particularly in the spring and summer the weather can vary quite a bit year over year. The weather that time of year could be rainy and in the 50's/60's or it could be sunny and in the 70's.
