welove2cruise* Posted November 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2007 Does the soda card on Princess come with the coke logo insulated cup? If so, is it the red insulated tall mug with the black top and the coke logo? Thanks!
hill6 Posted November 14, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 14, 2007 It came with it on our Crown cruise in July. If you had the cup they didn't ask to see your card. The cup was great out at the pool area.
Colo Cruiser Posted November 14, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 14, 2007 The price without the cup is a little less. :)
B40 Tha Cruisa Posted November 14, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 14, 2007 The cup is great, I have about 5, keeps the drinks nice and cool and makes for a nice memory.
Times Prince Posted November 14, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 14, 2007 Does the soda card on Princess come with the coke logo insulated cup? If so, is it the red insulated tall mug with the black top and the coke logo? Thanks! It is the 12oz mug as described, or the same size silver Diet Coke mug. Both also have the Princess logo and name on the cup. We also have a collection at home, mixed red and silver.

ldoc31 Posted November 14, 2007 #10 Share Posted November 14, 2007 I think the poster means that Princess are unlikely to notice thieves. Matthew I kind of think that was the reason for the thread--can you just use the old cup and not buy a card, otherwise why would anyone care about the description. Rare ORV Posted November 14, 2007 #11 Share Posted November 14, 2007 I don't know, some of us might actually want the cup as a souvenir. We might actually want to know how much extra it costs to get the cup. I've never been on Princess so I don't have an old cup to bring to see if I could get free soda. Without the mug you also get 'pumped coke'. The card promotion does not include cans.
welove2cruise* Posted November 15, 2007 Author #16 Share Posted November 15, 2007 I save all of my mugs too. I just try to bring them now since they started charging extra for them. I don't really need a stockpile of them. ;)
nana nancy Posted November 15, 2007 #17 Share Posted November 15, 2007 They are kind of like the Disney World mugs. You bring them back, and refill them your next visit. That seems to be all right. If Disney lets you do it, why not Princess? :)
cruiserbryce Posted November 15, 2007 #18 Share Posted November 15, 2007 If Disney lets you do it, why not Princess? I am going to have to go with the obvious and say that they're different companies...and I am pretty sure doing it at Disney is against the rules too...they just dont lend much effort to enforcement
smnornes Posted November 15, 2007 #19 Share Posted November 15, 2007 so the drinks w/ mug are $40... does anyone know the cost of drinks without the mug? We have insulated mugs that travel everywhere with us (we should start putting "been to" stickers on them! haha!) so we wouldn't necessarily need another mug. Rollexx Posted November 16, 2007 #20 Share Posted November 16, 2007 the mugs are free, no differance in cost..
Chick's pal Posted November 16, 2007 #21 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Everyone here is smart enough to know that nothing is free. You might "get by" with not paying for the soda card by bringing your old mug this time, but next time you buy a cruise ticket, you may end up paying for it. Or the cruiseline might increase the cost of the soda card. Or they might eliminate the card completely. We WILL pay for it. $3.95 per day for unlimited soft drinks is an incredible deal if you compare it to restaurants, convenience stores and fast food joints. Let's be civilized and not ruin the concept for everyone.

serene56 Posted November 16, 2007 #23 Share Posted November 16, 2007 On the Caribbean Princess we got a soda card for $27.00 pp (did the price go up to 40 recently? as for the cup-- we were always asked to show our card so I dont know if we could have reused a cup without a card. Nothing on our cup states that its a Princess cup-- it has either coke or diet coke written on it.
