Travel Angel Posted November 30, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted November 30, 2007 I have a booking now can I call and get any of these deal? I'm always looking for a deal!:o If you get the right res. agent, they MAY adjust your fares, but USUALLY it is based on NEW BOOKINGS ONLY ! Promos are based on the day listed when offered. Never hurts to try though.... GOOD LUCK !
LWiening Posted November 30, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 30, 2007 This is not good. I will be on a ship while this is going on....
firefly333 Posted November 30, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 30, 2007 Can someone explain "best available upgrade". Does that mean within the category like inside to inside, or outside to outside or does it mean you can book a inside and get a balcony? (I know probably not), just dont know what context Carnival means it.
MilliesMom Posted November 30, 2007 #6 Share Posted November 30, 2007 This is not good. I will be on a ship while this is going on.... Do you have a travel agent? If yes, call them and tell them which ship/which promo you want to take advantage of and have them booked it while you are gone. Most travel agents would do this. They just need your credit card # and your OK to book along with a bit of personal information. Have a wonderful cruise.

NCTribeFan Posted November 30, 2007 #8 Share Posted November 30, 2007 Wonder what "coast to coast" sailings means. Sailings from every port to all desinations? I really want to book one for next December, but the timing really isn't very good to have the sale just before THIS Christmas when people are spending money on gifts. Plus I have my pre-Christmas cruise coming up. So, slapping another $500 on my credit care as a deposit isn't really a good thing for me to do right now. :( I'm also guessing that the week before Christas won't qualify. I haven't seen my Miracle cruise listed in any of the sales events, and I started watching it back last March!

OceanDreamin Posted November 30, 2007 #10 Share Posted November 30, 2007 I'm pretty sure "coast to coast sailings" means all sailings, since one of the listings is for 3-5 day coast to coast sailings. Or maybe they mean all sailings departing from a U.S. mainland port, as opposed to Puerto Rico or something. (Just guessing here.) I'm with firefly on wondering exactly what "best available upgrade" means. That one peaked my interest too.
firefly333 Posted November 30, 2007 #11 Share Posted November 30, 2007 I tried calling my PVP twice but only getting a recorded message, I guess she is off today, vacation or its her day off.

So if you book a 4A you can get the highest inside cat available.
MississippiMom Posted December 1, 2007 #13 Share Posted December 1, 2007 11 12/13/2007 Family Stateroom Savings on Spring or Summer Sailings What does "Family Stateroom Savings" mean? Sounds vague to me.
teach2travel Posted December 1, 2007 #14 Share Posted December 1, 2007 Does this promotion cover 2009 sailings as well? Anyone know?
njs Posted December 1, 2007 #15 Share Posted December 1, 2007 This sale is nothing compared to last year's 12 Day sale - very disappointing. :( Seem to be offering more upgrades but less savings with initial bookings. I'd rather have the $$$ savings, b/c my pvp would always give the upgrades on subsequent sales
Mary Louise Posted December 1, 2007 #16 Share Posted December 1, 2007 Can you book these deals on line, if so what would be the promo code. Thanks ML
SANDYJABS Posted December 1, 2007 #17 Share Posted December 1, 2007 What does "Family Stateroom Savings" mean? Sounds vague to me. I would like clarification on this one also??? I have been waiting for this sale - already have my ship and date picked but I also received a coupon for a 2 cat upgrade that I was going to use to book, so I am not even sure if this sale is worth the wait:( I have 5 in my family so I planned on booking 2 cabins for summer 2008 on Imagination. Now I have to try to figure out which is the best day to book during this sale, and I have no clue what a Family Stateroom is?
billsrobb Posted December 1, 2007 #18 Share Posted December 1, 2007 This is probably a foolish question but I have booked a cruise for Feb on the Conquest and have made final payment. If there is a better deal for my cruise can I take advantage of it or am I out of luck. Robb

big_duck Posted December 1, 2007 #20 Share Posted December 1, 2007 What does "Family Stateroom Savings" mean? Sounds vague to me. Probably means a special on cat 6e cabins which are on Destiny/Triumph/Conquest class ships. These cabins are OVs that incorporate the balcony area and so are larger then regular OVs. They also have floor to ceiling windows.
jenngugs Posted December 1, 2007 #21 Share Posted December 1, 2007 The 2 category upgrade seems the best to me. If I was planning to book an inside cabin, maybe even an ocean view, what would I be upgraded to?
big_duck Posted December 1, 2007 #22 Share Posted December 1, 2007 The 2 category upgrade seems the best to me. If I was planning to book an inside cabin, maybe even an ocean view, what would I be upgraded to? The same on a higher deck.
njs Posted December 2, 2007 #23 Share Posted December 2, 2007 The 2 category upgrade seems the best to me. If I was planning to book an inside cabin, maybe even an ocean view, what would I be upgraded to? Check the cabin before you take the upgrade (esp if you dont want to be below the lido deck (and hear chairs being dragged around all night) or hear the noise from the casino. Sometimes the upgrade just isnt worth it
firefly333 Posted December 2, 2007 #24 Share Posted December 2, 2007 The 2 category upgrade seems the best to me. If I was planning to book an inside cabin, maybe even an ocean view, what would I be upgraded to? Like from a 4A to a 4C or a 8B to a 8D, same kind of cabin, higher deck as the other said. The same kind of sale they seem to always give to past guests from what I can tell.
jandjfun Posted December 3, 2007 #25 Share Posted December 3, 2007 I agree that this years sale pales in comparison to last years sale. I was really hoping for the 200.00 off all 2008 sailings. 100.00 will just barely cover the extra fuel charge I would be paying. I think I'll be going back to mazatlan this year for my vacation.
