So we put this one up for the steward to find!

 

 

NICE suite. Oh, and your towel people are adorable too. You made a really great one, sitting on the badet (sp?). I'm sure your stateroom attendant got a kick out of that.

Try being a woman sailing alone! Imagine my confusion & fright when I walked in and saw a man laying in my bed. Darn it, he was fake!

 

Drats Janice, I must be sailing on the wrong RCI ships!! All I got when on the Jewel last month was a crab; an elephant; a bunny; and 2 monkeys (one in the cabin area and one that scared the crap out of me cause he was in the bathroom).

Here's my favorite reaction to a towel animal. On my mother/daughter cruise last May, the steward made a rabbit the first night. The next night, he made a monkey. We walked into the room and my daughter exclaimed, "Oh,no! They hung the bunny!"

 

P.S. Bonnie, we have to get you back on a cruise ship!!!!

By the way, I want a towel man!! Have you ever heard of the ladies man skit, I think it was from Mad TV. Basically it is a man that your husband hires to do all the things he hates like shopping, holding your purse, watching romantic comedies etc.... It was so funny. I keep thinking maybe that is what the towel men are for - to save our seats at the pool or to keep us company. :p How funny would it be if your husband brought that out to lay out in the sun with you while he went to the casino!!!! Can you imagine all the double takes people would do!!

I don't know about "best" towel animal, but I will say that we were totally surprised on our last cruise by the lack thereof. Not kidding. We were on the Emerald Princess and NEVER had a towel animal waiting for us at night. Since it was our first (and perhaps last) Princess cruise, I'm not sure if maybe they just don't do them. Our cabin steward was great, I'll give him that much.

 

I like when they utilize some of our things, like my wife's sunglasses, my cap, or one time, they put the strap for our camera around his neck. Too funny.

Catherine, it's the only time I've seen that! It did startle me! The first thing I noticed was the tv was on. Then I saw legs on the bed. The little curtain was pulled just enough and there were no lights on so it looked pretty real. I actually backed up and looked at my cabin number on the door:p

I believe I know of what you speak. or something similiar. Some banana dessert, they put a design in syrup. It looked, um, phallic. In fact, we took a picture and it looked even more so. I'll have to see if I can get a copy of that picture from the person who took it.

One of the cutest we've had was a penguin. The towel was arranged around a water bottle somehow and it was adorable.

We had one of those towel men sitting on the toilet in our cabin reading a paper!!!! Talk about scared!!! It was so funny!!!

 

Unfortunatly, I can't find our picture we took. It was before we had our digital camera. :(

We had another one sitting on our sofa with a tv remote in his hand. He was wearing my cowboy hat. :) Cute!!! loved it!!!

No it wasn't Carol. She asked if anyone had seen the obscene towel creation and was looking for it. I posted the "thing" then asked if anyone had seen the obscene dessert so she posted one and asked if it was the one, which wasn't, then I said it involved a banana and that's how we got to where we are now...on an obscene dessert hunt.:D :p :D

we actually LOST the scavenger hunt because we had taken apart our towel animal to wash up.

 

We would have won since we had 8 of the 10 other items and were only missing a gold flip flop

Are the towel animals made from towels that they give you for use in your room? Like if you need a towel do you have to disembowel the towel animal to wash up? I don't know if I could do that! They look so cute!
