Celebrity Announces New Open Cabin Promotion

This morning I noticed that Celebrity was doing a new open cabin promotion to stimulate business and it looks interesting.

Celebrity is going to set aside a certain number of cabins on all Caribbean cruises. There will be cabins from almost all categories and they will be available on a first come first served basis on the day of sailing. The pricing for all of these cabins will be the same and will be whatever the inside cabin rate is for that particular voyage. Apparently this promo is only for new bookings only.

I think this promo is a great idea but I do have a couple of questions. Won't demand for these bargain basement cabins cause the terminal to look like an after Thanksgiving sale with all the people lined up? Also, how can they issue docs and get these last minute passengers aboard?

Not sure I understand part of this:confused: on the day of sailing???

I thought since 9/11 you had to book at least 3 days in advance:eek:

How can you book on the day you sail? Or I am just not

DaveFR, you are correct about the time period of availability - only on April 1St.

LoisR, you weren't gotten. You simply have an inquisitive mind. :-)

FC, glad you enjoyed this thread.

Any poster who didn't enjoy this thread can seek revenge on February 30Th.

Darren, you haven't been had - you are actually the quickest. You were the first to apply a little logic and then be suspicious. You are the proof for that saying "You can't fool all the people all the time".

Everyone have a great day out there.

well played pilot70D :) you had me so hard. I was thinking of how I could ask for an upgrade at the pier into one of the suites and give up my OV room to someone at the pier bargain shopping!

Cheers,

I love your April Fool's expression. However, you did not nail me in view of my superior intellect; and, also due to the fact that I did not view it on April 1. Cheers.
