Category Guarantee option

We just bought cruise tickets and our TA told me we have "Category Guarantee" and that we may be upgraded. Is this a safe option....or will we just get stuck with a suite that no one else wants? I would value your feedback on this. Thanks.

Did you get a "suite" guarantee? If so, there are NO suites that no one wants! All are quite good!

Now, if you booked an "inside" guarantee, that's a totally different thing--you could get upgraded to something better than an inside cabin, but again, you could get an inside in the worst location--that's why it's a cheaper fare. It's a gamble!

Thanks. That makes me feel better. We have a mini-suite with a balcony. We won't know what our cabin number is until at the pier. I guess I'll just have to be patient.
