Ideas of "must-haves"

Hello!

We are getting married while cruising next April, and we are making "welcome bags" for our guests who are cruising with us. I was wondering if there are any smaller items (the bags are only about 10"X10") that I should include. So far, we have:

Advil

Shout Wipes

Dramamine

Aloe Vera

Hand Sanitizer

Island-y chapstick

Alka-Seltzer Hangover relief

cute pen

cute flip-flop note pad

waterproof disposable camera

"welcome" paper with info abut the cruise/wedding day

I feel like I need just a few more small (and cheap!) things to fill them. I'd rather not include things that I know everyone will already bring themselves (sunscreen, shampoo, etc). Any ideas?

Your welcome bags are a great idea! Check out the 99 cent store. Maybe you can include some gum or mints. The cruise lines always supply shampoo so you don't really need to include that.

How about:

1) a fun personality

2) an adventuresome spirit

3) a sense of humor

4) a willingness to be flexible for the unexpected

and 5) manners

Always amazes me how many people forget to pack these items!

I wrote these down and I'm going to give this list to my mother for our first cruise. She's always so worried and gets ticked if someone doesn't speak to her, or if someone stares to long, and will snap on them. So this will be a good list for her.

We also got married on a cruise......Best time although yours sounds like it'll be a bit larger Just a thought. How about some information on your ports of call. It doesn't cost anything. You can look them up on line and print them out. Just a thought...

By the way, congrats once again! I know this will be a cruise that you remember, and hopefully there'll be more to come.

What I did last time for our group was well received. I filled out blank business cards with everyone's name, cabin number and phone number and gave everyone the list. Made it easy to find everyone's cabin and keep in touch and everyone didn't have to keep saying, "what's you cabin again?"

i.e. Bob - C502 - (phone) 10502

How about a little bottle of bubbles or balloons to decorate their cabin door?

How about a cute dollar store mini-photo album?

Or...what about a pre-stamped postcard for them to send to their friends?

Cheap pair of sunglasses.

Some floaties or inflatable rubber duck innertube (just to be silly!)

Cheap pair of dollar store flip flops.

Have a great wedding cruise!!

What fun!

You've gotten some great ideas here.

How about a notepad/pen/pencil? Deck of cards with Caribbean scene....find on line.

List of all of your guests cabin numbers so everyone in your group can reach eachother by phone if they wish?

(Please skip inexpensive sunglasses....not very good for anyone's eyes.)

Have a wonderful cruise.

You could make some cute magnets that would commemorate your wedding - and people could use them as door markers as well. Love the idea of cabin numbers for the whole group - very smart. Lanyards are a great idea also......you could get the clear pocket kind, insert a card with personalized wedding artwork, make them kind of as wedding "favors" also.

-highlighters (to highlight what you want to do)

Lysol wipes (wipe down your cabin as soon as you get in....)

-a little picture or door decoration (I loved ours...I got little "welcome" flags from the dollar store)

a gift certificate for photos (either on board credit or from an online photo provider)
