We are taking the 3 night coastal cruise on Coral Princess and have a few questions?

1 - Do we clear US customs in Vancouver at boarding?

2 - What time can we disembark in LA

3 - Formal night - is it the 1st night at sea?

4 - Can reservation be made in advance for Sabatini's?

5 - Any tips for things to do or see on ship?

Thanks

Francine

This is done at the airport

2 - What time can we disembark in LA

Anytime after 7am depending what your luggage tag says

You can request earlt express walk off by carrying your own luggage off

3 - Formal night - is it the 1st night at sea?

yes

4 - Can reservation be made in advance for Sabatini's?

Yes, there is a table set up on embarkation day outside the restaurant or call the DINE line from your cabin phone

5 - Any tips for things to do or see on ship?

The Bayou Cafe is a great alternative restaurant too.

Thanks

Francine

If you're sailing out of Vancouver, Vancouver airport is not where you go through US customs. You will clear US immigration before boarding the ship. If you're flying up here, you'll go through Canadian Customs and Immigration at the airport.

Thank you Colo cruiser and Cruise Junky for your answers -

I think I got it. We clear CA customs/immigration at YVR and US customs/immigration at the dock when boarding. That works for us.

If we want to go only one night to specialty restaurant Which is best?

Bayou or Sabatini's????

thanks,

Francine

If you have never done Sabatinis then I think it is at least a try once place.

It is a whole lot of food and can take 2-3 hours however you can skip some courses and have them bring them at a quicker pace if you wish.

The Bayou has some killer Surf/Turf.

Try both. :D

If you are flying in the day of the cruise, you should see if you qualify for the US Direct program, so you can bypass all the long lines for customs and immigration both at YVR airport and when boarding the ship (you would need to purchase a transfer from princess to use this program):
