Drinks in the casino

The asst casino host bought myself and one of our traveling companions a couple of drinks nightly when we were on The Golden back in February. So it does happen.

You must be in more of a "high roller" category than we are!:) :)

The worst thing is, the slot payouts are probably set lower than on land, so not only are they making more money, they are giving you less for spending money.

.....and this is because they are the only casino in town........;)

First of all, the casino is an optional form of entertainment and second, maybe joining of The Ocean Players Club may have had something to do with the free drinks I don't know. But I do know that we were furnished 10-12 drinks during our week on The Golden. The waiter would come by with a Sapphire and tonic and set it down beside me at the slots and say, "This is compliments of Cecilia" and she did this for other members of our party.

I have made MANY contributions at the casino and never received a free drink.:( However, I'll continue making those contributions because I consider it the price of entertainment. I pay for drinks in the theatre so why not the casino.

You can Bet you'll pay--if you are given a FREE drink--consider yourself lucky--we get them free occasionally--also--if they start giving them to you while you're cruising--chances are the same person will continue to give to you for the remainder of the cruise--many times it's the person that is overseeing the casino at the time

Anyway--Don't count on it !!!!!

Have Fun

Niice!! Although, I won't hold out waiting for a free drink!

Just add it to the ridiculous casino tab!

I did receive free drinks in the casino on NCL :) but not on Proncess :(

yep, NCL tried it for awhile: damn, I was hoping they would keep it at least til after our next cruise. They do, usually offer a ladies night with free drinks after midnight and have free rum punch on sail day. They sometimes throw other freebies in: they are the only line I have sailed that do this at all.

NCL does offer free drinks, but last fall on the Grand I asked the pit boss for a comped drink and he said they did not give any drinks out, as he walked away, wouldn't you know it, I hit a straight flush for $5,000.00 when he came back to pay me I laughed my fool head off telling him he should have bought me drink.:D

Good for you $5,000.00 and you got to tell him something. Did he give you a free drink then? I bet not!!!!

Of course you need to be spending/losing your money or at least be there for awhile--I play video poker sometimes--if you are at a machine --not at the bar--a machine somewhere else and you seem to be there for some time--that could be a drink getter--another way it usually happens is if you go for the black jack tournament--not so much with the slot tournament..

after this I'll probably never get another free one again--when we are at our desert home in La quinta--the only free item I've seen and not often is sometimes the cocktail waitress will give out water and soda--mostly nothing--drinks are usually $3.50--not a killer--not fancy--vodka-tonic or similar.
