Rare Peregrina651 Posted September 20, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2008 I was checking out the baggage limitations for our Air Canada flights in January and saw this on their website: Stowage on board Heavy items are stowed under the seat in front of you and lighter ones in the overhead bin.How do the airlines expect us to put our heavier bags UNDER the seat in front of us when: 1. There isn't enough space between the seats to maneuver a bag (even when it meets maximum specs) into the space. 2. They have filled that space with boxes of electronic equipment that take up most of the space in the first place.
6rugrats Posted September 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 20, 2008 Ignore that; you can place any carry-on that fits in the overhead bin.
skf Posted September 20, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2008 It seems to me that AC wants pax w/ laptops to put these under the seats to leave room for the carryons. Some laptops are much too heavy for the bins. Steve
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 20, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 20, 2008 As others have said I would not worry about it. I would put the item that takes up less room in the overhead and then if you have a smaller item put that below the seat in front of you.
