OT: Favorite Non Cruise Photograph

Here's my favorite. I was chasing hot air balloons one morning as they were going over a local lake. Went down to a friends dock and almost fell in the water which, when I did, I saw the reflection.

Guess I'll stick my toes in the water too. This was take at about 65 miles an hour up on the Navaho Reservation in northeastern Arizona.

It was 9 am and the sun had not quite come up. The flash went off in the low light and interacted with the falling snow! Front and back of St Basil's Cathedral in Red Square.

driving home tonight I see an explosion over the city. From about 4 miles away.

Nice pics Bruce, my wife & I considered driving downtown to see the fireworks but changed our mind. Loved the woodie pic as well;)

I was @ the Mn Zoo today & took a lot of good images(if I say so myself)

Thanks Bruce, glad you liked them. I recently acquired Lightroom 3 & have been trying to get a handle on all the features, so far so good but I want to get as much down in my brain as possible before we leave for Alaska. Been using this zoo photo shoot as practice, like the editing pre-sets sure makes things quicker:)

WOW....there are some amazing shots on this thread! I am new at photography, but did snap some good pictures of a hummingbird facing down a wasp at our feeder. Too many in the sequence to post, but here are a few.

Canon 30D DSLR. I bought it on they day it was released 4 1/2 years ago. This might be the best $1500 I have ever spent. I'll use this camera until it dies or some new ground breaking technology comes out.
