Last Feb. we cruised RCL Vision on Superbowl sunday. they showed it in the bars and I believe I heard in the theater. We watched in our cabin, they showed satellite version with no commericals and no announcers. Just the game.

I know this in no way answers your question about Solstice , but I bet they will

We cruised on RCCI during theplay off's two years ago and on Super Bowl Sunday last year. The Super owl was played in all of the bars, in the ice skating rink and in the lagre dance lounge. There was "tailgate" parties set up with munchies in every lounge it was played. The year before, the game (play offs) was played in the sports bar, which was packed and we brought in hot wings, little hot dogs and nachos from the buffet.

As mentioned above, this doesn't mean that X will carry it, but I can't imagine they won't.

I've been on Constellation and Summit for the playoffs in January, and the only games shown were the ones carried by ESPN Deportes. It was shown in the casino bar and in the cabins. If a game wasn't shown on that particular ESPN, we didn't get to see it. The Super Bowl has been shown on Celebrity, both in the cabins and in the theater, casino bar and in one of the show rooms. It's interesting to see the game with commercials in Spanish. As a matter of fact, we were on Summit during the infamous Janet Jackson half time show, and we didn't see it because Deportes didn't show the halftime performances.

I have sailed twice during the playoffs and they were shown

in English. I believe even though the regular season is not televised,

they do somehow contract out for the playoffs and the Superbowl.

I remember in 2004 I was on CENTURY when the Panthers and

Eagles played in the NFC Championship game. There was a group

of Philly fans on board......not a happy group at the end of

that game:eek:...and with too much drink as well:eek:...not the

best combination.

Hi Darcie, hope you and your sister are doing well:)

Hi Lois. No, this has not been a good day for us. We're missing mom. We had her memorial service this past Saturday.

Thank you for asking.

That's nice to know that the games will be shown. For some reason, during that Super Bowl, they broadcast it in Spanish. It was pretty funny.

Do you think it will be shown on Century? The customer service rep said if it was on ESPN then it would be shown, but not sure if ESPN carries it. Do any of you sports fans know? Thanks:)

The National Championship Game is on FOX. Not sure if they will

buy a contract for it or not. I will be in San Juan on Jan 8th

(that is THE game)...I sail on the 9th...watch the game

Thurs night....sail on Friday..doesn't get much better than that:D

Now, after this year ESPN has outbid FOX on the BCS bowl games

so starting in 2010 they will be under the ABC/ESPN parent

of companies.

We were just on the Nov 30th sailing of the Solstice and they showed the Sunday night and Thursday night NFL games on the ESPN channel in the Fortune casino and in our cabins. These games were not broadcast on ESPN, but they did broadcast these games on this channel anyway. Last January, were were on the Majesty of the Seas during the National Championship game and they also showed the game.

I would think your odds are good that you will be able to watch these games on the Solstice since they overrode regular programming for regular season Sunday and Thursday night games.
