cfc525 Posted January 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2009 Is it true that according to your cabin number, if it is with a balcony or greater...you will be ushered on board before other passengers? I can see this upsetting a lot of people. I have read so many different takes on this, can someone really set this straight. Thanks!
cb at sea Posted January 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2009 All cruiselines don't do that...What cruiseline are you asking about? Now, suite passenger's generally have a separate check-in line that gives them a slight edge, but that doesn't seem to bother anyone. (Sort of like frequent flyers have a separate check-in line at the airport!)
Krazy Kruizers Posted January 7, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2009 HAL If you are in a PS, SA, SB or SC Delux cabin, you have priority embarkation. All other passengers are given a number and they board the ship when their number is called.

CruisnGram Posted January 7, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2009 NCL Dawn Yes, balcony and above has a special check in line since the implimentation of 2.0. No need for anyone to get upset about it. If they do their research, they will realize that priority boarding is one of the perks one gets for a higher category booking. paul929207 Posted January 7, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 7, 2009 I am sure the boarding procedures vary by cruise line. For Princess, suites and Platinum ad Elite members of the Captain's Circle get priority boarding.
pris993 Posted January 8, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 8, 2009 From reading these boards - it seems most cruiselines are pretty organized, so unless there is an unusal problem in port, most folks board very quickly. :)
parody Posted January 8, 2009 #8 Share Posted January 8, 2009 From Carnival's website: Carnival’s VIP Check-in is an exclusive service designed to afford our Platinum guests (10th cruise or more qualifies), and those traveling in deluxe suite accommodations, with special registration privileges.
