Has anybody been on the Imperial Majesty. It goes from Fort Lauderdale to Nassau. My daughter has been offered a 3 day/2 night cruise with a 3 day/2 night stay in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando for $298.

The OFFER is a timeshare blitz. She will spend hours in meetings with high pressure sales people.

I was offered a cruise on their ship about 4 times a day last year over several weeks...it took a lot to get them to stop calling...all we had to pay was port taxes, which in my opinion was still too much for this outfit

I sailed IM about two years ago on my own, the deal is a timeshare offer. They are getting a new ship, but the older one was beautiful and quaint and got me addicted to cruising.

For a short cruise with a room in Nassau for the night not to bad... BUT it is what it is. Do not expect something fancy.

I actually "won" a free cruise a year or so ago. Researched it, and the "port fees" were about right for a cruise of that length - not a rip-off, but hardly free. No timeshare for me, just a marketing ploy to put a body in a cabin.

 

Said to be an older ship, interesting maybe from a faded bygone era standpoint. In a year or so ramped-up safety laws will send it to the scrapyard (too much wood). Same as what killed the Delta Queen, more's the pity.
